Actually the whole crystal stuff from the old movies were the only things I likes about that movie these days. They even use it in the comics for a while. I think if they keep the crystal tech and the futuristic star wars like landscape it would work out better. A fusion of the old and new.

Or will they go down on where SV seems to be inevitably heading towards, where Clark had gone through most of his life having never worn glasses until he finally came to decide that he wanted to be Superman, and that by simply putting on glasses, it'll make everyone that he met previously when he didn't wear them think that he and Superman are two different people.

Maybe if the suit came from Jor-el it has an aura in helping him keep that part of his life separate. Jor-el can do all sorts of other things from beyond the grave. Why not?

I hope Clark wears the glasses early on and adapt the posture, hairstyle and other disguises later.
They could explain that he wore glasses when he was a kid so he won't accidentally burn someone if he accidentally triggered heat vision.

It's been written both ways but I like it best when he adopts the Metropolis Clark guise early on.

Maybe as a child his vision actually was off, as his body was preparing for the powers that were coming. He saw some blurriness, and needed help from glasses to focus. I could see Martha taking him to an eye dr and Clark trying to focus on a letter, he accidentally starts to see through the wall for a second and there is a smiley face or some picture in the other room. He tells the dr "I see a.. smiley face? Huh" The dr laughs "Ya your vision is a little off son. I only have letters on this slide." When they leave Clark has a puzzled face and sees the sign with the smiley face as they walk by. Martha asks him what is wrong and he just shrugs it off like nothing

I don't know if you've read Birthright, but I think they handled all these types of issues better than I've ever seen them handled.
He wore glasses to make the bright blue of his eyes duller so they don't stand out so much, he wears clothes that are a little big to make him seem scrawnier, and he get's a book on method acting to create a different persona in body language and voice etc.

I thought it was a very realistic, believable way of addressing it so I'd love to see that incorporated into the film.

It depends how they do it... Yeah, Smallville handled it ridiculously.

But if they have Clark go off travelling at 18, and we have that gap where it's possible people wouldn't be too sure what he'd look like now, I can accept it.

Yeah so Zod (and believing the rumours) Ursa are the only real Kryptonians but they fake an invasion. That sounds good to me

I think it's perfectly reasonable, if I were in his situation it's what I'd do.
And they don't have to show him studying it, it could just be on a bookshelf at his house or something.

Yea I think travelling at an early age is a great way of handling it.

Nothing new about that plot-outline. If true however that's something else. Then I'm just glad he doesnt go to Afghanistan or Libya.

About the realistic approach, I imagine Snyder means both in terms of his usual style, yes but also the way the story is told; Clark discovering his powers gradually, people's reaction to him etc. Sure, referring to actual laws of physics during battles would be a nice touch, but I think that goes without saying. Surely all film-crews on FX-movies want their FX to look real.

More than any other distinguishing feature of the Donnerverse, the one I cherish the most is the crystal based Krypton and its associated technologies. I'm going to miss it.

Good question. Best scenario is that they are all using each other. As for Zod, there's no way he'd want to team up with Superman considering the fact that Jor-El sent him to the Phantom Zone. Maybe Lex is holding something over their heads, maybe he threatens them with Kryptonite, although I'm pretty meh on Kryptonite being used a lot.
