All Things Superman: An Open Discussion

No, I'm sure it won't be like that. I expect something more along the lines of how to become Superman (ie. how to help the world). Even Batman showed up in the 40 minute mark in BB.

Yeah thats what I think aswell. I highly doubt they'd not have him become Superman until the very end.

Gov. John Kasich announced today that a $40 million Marvel/Disney superhero movie will be shot in Cleveland.

Kasich, while attending Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson's State of the City address, said the movie will feature comic book hero Superman

I think either he, or the guy that wrote the article, is a little confused. :oldrazz:

EDIT: They changed it from Superman to comic book hero.

Probably Luke Cage, Iron Fist, or a Black Panther movie.

Although I'm leaning towards the first two. I have no idea how Superman even got into that discussion. :hehe:

Haha, I see you changed your post.... a second ago you said Nick Cage and I was like, huh? Interestingly, being the uber-fan Nick is, he actually did name himself after Luke Cage.

I wish Nicolas Cage would just star in a movie where he plays himself as a superhero. That would be awesome.

If they want to make a trilogy here are their titles

Zod vs Superman
Zod Returns
Zod The One

Since Hollywood is unaware of other Superman villains Lex & probably die in the first movie & Zod will be the background villain with Zod getting more screen time then Superman himself

Just finished reading Birthright.

Can't say I didn't tear up at the last page. Beautiful.

Hope we get something like that moment in Snyder's film.

Birthright >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Returns

Its fantastic isn't it, i've reread it dozens of times and everytime I've enjoyed it more. I honestly think they could just adapt the book into a film so i'm very happy that it apparently has an influence on the new film.

It really was man. I loved everyone and most of all Clark Kent/Lex dynamic in this. Wow.

Thats all I can really say. What a captivating relationship and loved how Kent was inspired to find his true longing.

That last part where the images of Krypton are being played in the holographic projector and him getting his final message across to his parents. :(
is just something I hope we see in Snyder's film if Birthright had a possible bigger impact than we may think.

It was so tastefully classy in execution. Birthright

I'm going to re read it again tonight.

That $40 million dollar film shot in Clevland is the Avengers. That's where part of its budget is being put into.

This whole backlash against Zod amuses me, because people are really exaggerating just how much Zod has appeared in Superman media. He's only appeared as a villain in one film, that came out 30 years ago.

This whole Zod backlash, in my opinion, comes from the initial backlash Superman Returns received when it came across as a rehash of Superman: The Movie. People started joking that the sequel would have Zod as a villain. Then that joke started spreading, until it wasn't a joke anymore. All of a sudden it was practically 'confirmed' Zod was returning. The hysteria grew and grew until people started seeing Zod left and right.

People got so angry at something that wasn't even happening, they've managed to fool themselves into believing the character has been pushed on them again and again.

It's just bizarre.

Hi, I'm from Italy, and very intrested in Superman's character, I love him thanks to Christopher Reeve's movies. I was so excited to heard about a new Superman movie and I look forward to the moment I'll watch it.
I think Cavill is a good choice as Superman, I has a good looking and I think a good actor too. If Viggo Mortensen is Zod I'll jump for the great joy. I look forward to hear other news1

Yes, their first show was Vic Reeves' Big Night Out, before they moved to the BBC.

yeah that ending does choke me up I also like it
because theres closure for Jor El and Lara they know Kal El is safe and that for me is the most uplifting moment

I love it I would love to see them adapt it as a Animated DTV.

Really hope synder will consider leslie willis a.k.a livewire in this........she's a radio deejay who gets transforms into livewire

With Zod in it no room for many others

I doubt she'll be in it. If she is, then it would probably be in her pre-Livewire form. Otherwise, she'd be some small villain that Superman defeats with ease.

As much as I love Livewire I don't think she'd work in the film universe.

random question not to be taken seriously: Superman has super strength, sight and hearing...

...but does he also have super taste, smell, and touch??? what about super emotions?
