I'm in the middle of watching the great documentary "Necessary Evil: Super- Villains of DC Comics"...I find it odd that they got Scott Porter (a blonde, charismatic actor) to speak during a part about the Flash at 03:50. I know that he was one of three actors being considered for Captain America along with Chris Evans way back when, but I wonder if maybe DC/WB grabbed him to play Flash in the upcoming DCU? I know this casting has been suggested on SHH in the past, but does this hint at his actual involvement?

I think from a business standpoint, the bonuses for DC definitely outweigh the negatives as far as reboot go. Or at least that's the plan.

I only started reading monthly because of the reboot and despite stopping due to cost and storage, they probably gained more new readers than lost. It may be short term but I don't know that info. But they probably hooked new readers regardless.
It's probably why it's happened in the past and will probably happen in the future as well.

I'm biased but I can't care about complaints about New 52 changes since older readers had years of old continuity and business means occasional changes for publicity and new readers.
I'm not going go pretend to understand the business of comic sales but I know the current continuity will change and then some more readers of the New 52 will get mad at changes, possibly dropping books but DC Will gain new readers.


Or maybe I don't understand the plan.

Come on, don't be a D-bag. Chris Lee is the narrator and Del Toro has directed comic book movies, so I understand them being part of this. But a random actor that has yet to be in any CBM movies and has no ties to the CB industry just seems odd to me. I guess maybe it's to promote his show Heart of Dixie, but he's be going after the wrong demographic IMO.

But, New 52 Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) suit is an improvement. I mean, look at his original classic costume.

Hal had the New 52 design since sometime in the 70s or the 80s, it just didn't look like some armor on his shoulders

The update in design from 50s to 70s is pretty minor
