El Maybe will pat himself on the back regardless.

After his role in Jupiter Ascending, he's probably playing the Richard Raleigh version of Red Bee. You heard it here first.

Oh my god Jupiter Ascending is so stupid. Why did I see it in theaters? lol

Anyway, Sean Bean is obviously a talented fellow and I'm sure he would do a good job if he is even being considered for the role and gets it.

I don't have a problem with either actor, but I've also seen enough of them in this genre and type of role where I'm not overly excited if they land the parts.

I'd rather go with more inspired casting, like Oscar Isaacs was with Apocalypse.

Yeah, at this point, seeing Eva Green in any of these types of roles just feels like typecasting to me. Like... come on, gurl. Do a comedy or something.

I'm not excited about the prospect of Sean Bean but I am about Eva Green.

I don't trust Eh Maybe. But those would be great choices (especially Eva, who's been my #1 choice for that part for a long time). Alternatives that come to mind immediately are Daniel Craig as Ares and Natalie Dormer as Circe.

In a bold move, WB reworked the Justice League roster. They decided to cut out Green Lantern (they got cold feet about the character) and sub in Bean - who after coming into contact with an ancient relic now possesses immortality.

If Sean Bean is cast, Ares will be dealt with before the third act. I like him a lot, despite his difficulties with staying alive in movies.
He does fit a military character much more though, he is often typecast as those.

And I absolutely love Eva Green.

Of course, none of this matters, since El Maybe as source basically confirms that we'll never get to see those two in a DC film. Shame, these would be good castings.

Not necessarily. New 52 Ares is drawn to look like Azzarello, but he's just an old guy like Sean Bean.

Makes alot of sense, they both fit the rumored roles pretty well. I've always thought the best roles for Bean would be Ares or Deathstroke and I've always thought the best roles for Green would be Circe or Poison Ivy. Would cool if true.

Too true. Sean is actually no spring chicken. Shave his head and put a goatee on him, and... yeah he could easily play the 52 Ares.

He's only 56 which isn't old by modern standard, he could easily play either version of Ares.

Eva as Circe is really good if slightly predictable casting but TBH she's been my number 1 choice for the role so I'd be happy if she does do it

I am almost always for seemingly casting against type. Like you said, Oscar Isaac is an interesting choice to play Apocalypse.
