Question:

So we know that the DCEU is planning a lot of films. Just that- planning. Whether it's Gotham City Sirens, Suicide Squad 2, Batgirl, Nightwing, Justice League Dark, The Flash, The Batman, Green Lantern...and so on and so forth.

Let's assume that Wonder Woman is a critical and financial success. You think that would increase the odds that WB would a. get a sequel in the works soon, and b. bring back Jenkins for said sequel?

I'm just glad that Gal looks very healthy. That's the most important thing. She just had a baby so the mother and the baby both needs to be taken care of and it seems Gal is taking good care of herself. :) :)

All should be revealed on our DC Slate in July for Comic Con! God I can't Wait! But FIRST Wonder Woman

Maybe Jenkins for Man of Steel sequel?
Things seem to be changing in DC for a while now. I think they will announce a new slate at comic con.

Indeed.

I really want Patty Jenkins to do a Wonder Woman trilogy.

Getting WW right seems to be much difficult task (as we know how WB struggled with earlier attempts to bring her to big screen.), so I would prefer that Patty Jenkins directs WW sequel.

WB can find many suitable directors for MoS sequel, that is not that difficult task.

I'll reserve my judgement after I see WW '17 but so far Jenkins has done a wonderful job with everything I've seen. The way she has been conducting herself by interacting with fans and Bloggers/critics will also catch the eye of WB execs. Also if the movie does turn out to be critically and financially good then I can only hope that she'll be back for the sequel.

Well I am guessing a sequel is already at least in the preliminary stages since both Patty and Lord Zachariah Up On High have mentioned it. If the movie opens big they will make the formal announcement just like they always do. (standard cbm situation)

As for Patty, my guess is if she already hasnt agreed to make it (which I am guessing she has cause she talks about it) then if it is received well WB will sign her up and get a report out ASAP. She will probably be given the opportunity at other films as well if she wants.

If the movie underperforms or if the critics dont like it to the level WB hopes then they will back off.

They have all the possible scenarios planned out, it all will depend on the numbers.

BTW I was on record as saying when Wonder Woman started filming that if Patty does well with this film they should basically tell her to pick her projects including Justice League 2. If her style works embrace it, and embrace the good press you will get for having a woman direct a non-female CBM.

Shot of Ares?

It is definitely in there...you can sort of see him but it is fuzzy enough that it gives nothing away.

As for Patty...I wont lie I would prefer her on The Flash than MOS2. I feel like she would ape Donner too much (not that I would mind but still) which would be a bit jarring.

I think Patty would do Superman the way he should be done, no shade to Snyder.

Yeah...... that was a shade to Lord Snyder. :oldrazz: :oldrazz:

Half joking aside, I would love to see a Superman movie directed by Jenkins. I think she's a good candidate for the MOS sequel. Just get Damon Caro and the rest of his team for the stunt choreography and I'm good.

If WW is good, then I would prefer it if she did a WW sequel. There have been lots of good/great adaptions of Superman. WW has had much less.

Hey, Slade's back. :D :D

I agree with your point. If WW hits all the right notes or at least gets close to it then just sign her up for the WW sequel. That's the way to go.

I like Zack but I'm a bigger Superman fan. If he can direct MOS and JL, she can do both WW and Superman sequels.

I need to see a Wonder Woman sequel set in present day.

After looking at main points of Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman script, I realized how difficult it is to capture the essence of WW's character, (keep in mind that Michelle Mc Laren's take was also not good to get a green signal form WB)

Patty captures the spirit of the character in a natural way, I would rather have her direct a WW sequel, I am really afraid about other directors taking on WW solo movie now.

There are plenty of great options available for Superman, for WW, there's only one.

You'll get your wish. If Jenkins does come back and I'm almost sure she will, she intends to to do a WW sequel set in the present day.
