John Campea, lol.

Considering how many comic book movies we've had since the inception of the genre, in theory, he might be right. But, since 1998/2000 with BLADE and X-MEN which began this golden age of the genre, is WONDER WOMAN in the top ten? I don't really know but it's damn, damn close.

I'm trying to think of my top ten of the genre and she may squeak in there. This is not a knock on the film. It's just that's how many we've had during this stretch.

Now, in terms of origin films in the genre, oh yeah, she's a top ten and maybe ten five all time.

Either way, hardcore DC fans can relax and not hyperventilate. Patty Jenkins, as I said before, did the Lord's work with this film.

Stop being a killjoy. :oldrazz: :oldrazz:

Yup. Judging by the early reactions from RT certified critics, I do think WW will be certified fresh.

If this thing isn't certified fresh, then critics and bloggers can kick rocks. This is exactly what they wanted from DC/WB. They basically sacrificed BATMAN v SUPERMAN to get to a film like this.

I wish WB kept a bit more of its edge with their films (and this one has a bit of that) but if that's what the critics, bloggers, and audiences want...WB has no choice to surrender to the will of them. I don't care for that kind of "bending over backwards" approach but this genre is not really about real storytelling. It's about profit. But, give Jenkins and in my opinion Snyder credit, they squeaked in real films in this genre at this point.

Wow it feels like a pop culture event brewing...maybe...maybe Gal will have the kind of break out hit RDJ had and help elevate WW to Sup/Bat/Spidey/IM type of status...

If this breaks out, then JL marketing team is gonna be so happy, they could bring the demo back to the movie just to see WW.

Yeah. I'm also really, really, REALLY hoping this movie can somehow convince critics to review and the GA to view JL with fresh eyes/perspectives.

This is exactly what the film feels like and the buzz around it feels like. You just don't know how the GA will react but man, the feeling around this thing is real. Walking out of that screening last night, you could feel it. Not just from women but men too. It's an everybody kind of film.

John Campea, lol.

It was obvious that Campea would react that way. That happens when you make yourself look like a salty bastah and either have to admit that you were an idiot or instead you keep on being one.

Tomorrow an Israeli newspaper a new interview they did with Gal. I will translate it for you :)

#WonderWoman was enjoyable and did what it needed to do to satisfy the fans. Dynamic between Gadot and Pine was a good foundation for movie.

Ya and if, if it becomes an event film, that would be the second female hero character WB/DC has introduced and elevated to somewhat a pop culture status in 2 years. They could seriously build on the female demo - they could become the type of audience that likes these characters, buy merchandises, show up for these movies, and not necessarily even read any comics or watch any cartoons.

I've never seen girls wearing female superhero characters clothings on the street (a bunch of Spidey and some Superman, maybe one supergirl), but saw 2 wearing Harley Quinn T-shirt this year. We might see random little girls running around with WW shirt or headgear this year.

DC has also made dolls and programs for young girls, this demo could grow up with these female characters for years to come.

So IF WW is a hit, I hope they can push forward with the sequel, make some moves on Batgirl, and if they don't think Ayer's their guy, hire someone like Patty's quality and move GCS along, they've already got the Tomb Raider scribe writing for 6 months, if GCS doesn't make it for 2019 at the latest, that'd mean WB is sidelining Margot Robbie for 4 years, and I don't really see that happening

Me too bro. :highfive:

Our bromance is real :highfive: LOL

Like I said Superman is everything to me since I was a little boy and I'm so freakin happy Henry became the Superman I always dreamed of! The Emotion, the action, his boyishly great looks (I admittly have a man crush), His Musical Score, His suit!! He will forever be My Superman! Maybe my future kids will have theirs. Which reminds me bro...you want to know how much I love Superman and Henry Cavill? I have my own Cosplay Legit Replica of Henry's Supes suit I hang in my closet Cape and all! I threw down some serious cash for it and it's the best thing I own :hmr: I'm wear it to al my DC premiers!! Tells you how much I bleed DC and DC fanboy! I stand proud

everythin about this movie look so perfect, its actually scary to think we about to see probably the greatest comic book movie ever.

i have faith in patty jenkins, im sure she had 100% control of the movie, she made the story she wanted to make .

i like the lack of cgi, she actually find real locations for most of it, i cant wait

By nailing Harley and Diana, if Joss Whedon nails Barbara, you're right...WB will have carved out its own niche in this genre and it might be the most important niche.

I'm super stoked for SIRENS and BATGIRL.

I just saw that A.V Club and Vox had good words about WW. They have been extremely harsh on the DCEU movies (some of them were fair but most of the times those were hyperbolic hatred) so far so this is very encouraging.

I'm gonna be cautious of the group that went to see WW with Campea! I can't escape the feeling he beat them over the head with his delusional bias and crap after the movie. To the point where those colleagues will want to agree with him or else....lol

I wouldn't worry too much. With the exception of Jeremy Jahns none of them had a problem with Gal's casting and in every trailer review they said they found her acting to be fine and didn't think she was 'wooden' (Campea's favorite word).

Waking up this morning and saw Lucy Davis (Etta Candy) liked a tweet of mine!! That's pretty cool :ilv:

I know right ? Vox ran 11 articles bashing BvS within a period of 10 days. One or two negative articles bashing BvS each day in first week of movie's release on their Main page.

There should be some law to check over reaction like that.
