Correct, but that was b/c Two Face's origin was an integral part of the story that's why it served as exposition. We won't get an origin of Catwoman or Bane unless its an integral part of the story, something we don't know yet. All we know so far is that scenes were shot of a young Ra's and supposedly a young Bane. But this only ties Bane into the LOS and Ra's which supports the idea that Bane was trained in the same fashion that Wayne was, its not an origin per se.

I'd say it's the most likely outcome given it looks as if some time will have passed between films 2 and 3.

Considering the fact that we will probably get an orgin for Bane i don't think we will get one for Catwoman; at least not one as dense as Bane's. She will most likely be the mystery character in a way (true motives/reason for doing what she does only hinted at but never fully revealed) compared to Bane's backstory/upbringing/motives being thrown right at us.

Catwoman will probably be established in the movie but, who she becomes...how she becomes a petty thief to a force in Gotham is going to be told in conjunction with Bane/Bats/Bruce's story

Bane is a rather straightforward character. He has a job and gets it done to the best of his abilities. Catwoman is much more mysterious and conniving. If either one doesn't have an origin it would make sense if it was Catwoman. Plus, I kinda think it would be lame showing us how and why Selina decides to dawn the cat costume...much cooler if the first time we meet her is a crime in progress...and we slowly get to know her character throughout the film..we get to know her as Batman does.

Honestly, it's the only reason why i think she may not be Catwoman from the start of the film. He's so insistent on leaving out the "catwoman" bit, makes me think that she wont even be called Catwoman. She will be Catwoman, but no one will call her such.

Nolan could have easily attributed the Batman name as a creation by the mass media and frightened public. Instead he had Bruce call himself that on his first night out. So, I wouldn't rule it out.

I think he may be doing that to focus attention on the woman behind the mask, instead of the mask itself.

Well I think being that they keep referring to her as "Selina Kyle" then she must transform into Catwoman mid-way through the movie. Or he's trying to make them two seperate characters at the beginning of the movie and then reveal that she's Catwoman halfway through (even though we all know better) but you know how Nolan is with duel identities.

Just because that's how Dent was handled doesn't mean Selina will be handled the same way. She may not even be referred to as Catwoman for all we know. It makes no difference, we know she's Catwoman, Chris is just playing coy as always, it's all part of the build up.

You're reading too much into it. Aaron Eckhart's character was always referred to as Harvey Dent by Nolan and that's the name he has in the credits... but we still got Two-Face. Scarecrow was Jonathan Crane in the credits. Nolan refers to Christian Bale's character as Bruce Wayne a lot more than he refers to him as Batman, and the character is listed as Bruce Wayne in the credits. This is how Nolan does things. If he'd directed Batman Returns, Danny Devito's character would have been Oswald Cobblepot in the credits instead of the Penguin. It also isn't any indication that he is leaving out anything whatsoever. He's being coy. That's always how he is. He likes to tease the hell out of people because he's an annoying git.

Anne Hathaway's confirmed that we're getting Catwoman and there's no reason to doubt that she'll be called that in the movie. Consider that these films have had characters called Scarecrow, the Joker, Batman, and Two-Face, and I think your fears are unjustified.

Even Dent was never really called "Two-Face". In the hospital Gordon told him that "Harvey Two-Face" has always been his nickname - but that's it. Even after his transformation Batman and Gordon still called him Harvey.

He's just being typically tight-lipped. Nolan dosn't give away any information easily, especially before they even shoot the film.

Honestly, if Chris Nolan was financing and releasing the movie independantly, I doubt we'd have any information at all right now. I bet he's constantly knocking back WB on what they can and cant reveal.

If they do it, I hope it integrated in a clever way, similar to how they used Two-Face's name in TDK - as a nickname by resentful cops.

I feel like Nolan sees it as his job to ensure that the audience has the best viewing experience possible, which - for him - means keeping things fresh for that first viewing, and being as secretive as possible. I love that about him, cause it shows high esteem for his own work.
I don't think that'll stop the studio from doing their job though... and releasing photos of Catwoman as soon as their marketing strategy calls for it. I doubt that official pic release dates and the like are even on Nolan's scopes.

I didnt even know he ever said anything about Catwoman. I know some articles has been calling her Selina Kyle but thats it.

Its too comic booky to call Catwoman 'Catwoman'? Batman has been called Batman, Joker was called Joker, and Scarecrow was called Scarecrow. Whats the problem with calling her Catwoman? The only reason the didnt call Dent Two-face was not because it was too comic book. The movie is bloody based on a comic book! The didnt call him Two-face because that wouldnt have made any sense. The only people who talked to him was people close to him. Plus he wasnt there long enough to get a nickname. Even in a comic book this wouldnt make sense.
