Is it just me or did Selina start to get real emotional at first when he came back to Gotham and she seemed glad that he wasn't dead? Of course she tries to be a hard ass again and refuses to even apologies because for some reason there's something wrong with being a strong woman and showing a little bit emotions for making a huge mistake. When do you think she first started to seem like she was falling for Bruce after not being able to stand him at first? I would of loved to see her reaction from him supposedly coming back from the dead a second time especially from a bomb explosion lol. Didn't she seem a bit upset when he said there was no auto pilot? She clearly wanted him to eject, but then seem disappointed and sad when he said there's no auto pilot and basically kisses him with a passion. I thought it was wrong to not have her at the funeral, but then I saw the cafe scene lol.

I took a screencap of an excellent artwork posted in the fanart thread:

watch TDKR four times so far

As I can tell, when she realized Bruce Wayne comes back from the pit,her face showed a mixture of happiness/joy/relief and guilt..(totally 5-10 seconds to expose her vulnerability)

Ok, well maybe Anne could star with one of her other TDKR co-stars, Matthew Modine. He could give her a foot massage and she could say that she hasn't had a man touch her below the waist in a while. :cwink: :hehe:

:hehe:

God, she was so good in that movie. It's the kind of role Anne would thrive in.

It's great to see some test shots like that. Anne looks like she were out shopping and trying on a few masks and goggles in the store. :hehe:

That whole mob theme would actually kind of fit in with Nolan's Batman.

I think she feels something at the ball, but I think she "falls in love" when she discovers that he is Batman.

Yeah, it's a slow progression. When she tells Bruce "she's sorry they took all his money", you can tell she at least feels remorse for her actions and is starting to re-evaluate her opinion on him. I also think she has a sneaking suspicion that Bruce is in fact Batman when he talks about his "powerful friend", but doesn't have it confirmed until Bane outright says it. Couple that with her having an admiration for (and perhaps a slight inspiration from) Batman, and that's probably when she's "officially" in love.

Amusingly enough, I think she falls for him while he is not there. Selina is a woman who clearly has a lot of bitterness towards rich people, which is what keeps her from warming up to Bruce at first. The second she finds out he is Batman though, that is when she knows there is much more to him. After that, she has five months to regret her decision to betray Batman, and all throughout that time, she also comes to the conclusion that the "storm" she was looking forward to is not in fact what she wants. That scene with Jen, where she's looking at the Vandalized house and says "This was someones home" tells a lot. The world Bane creates in Gotham changes Selinas perspective. It's a 'careful with what you wish for" situation. By the time Bruce comes back, we know she's able to respect and care for him.

I think she feels guilty and terrible for what happened to him. She probably doesn't fall in love wit him until the intervening months between the explosion and final scene. However, she feels truly connected to him probably the moment she sees him back in Gotham late in the movie.

I had a different interpretation of that scene:

Bruce: I like your place. I really do.
Selina bristles at the put down (like the Ibiza thing) since her stuff is really thrift store chic so she fires back with mock sympathy
Selina: I'm sorry they took all your money
Bruce: No you're not.
He calls her on it.

I think she's guilty after the betrayal but I don't think it's love. If ever there was a turning point in the movie, it would be after he comes back and recruits her. For someone as cynical and quid pro quo as her, it must be really refreshing to have someone like Bruce have so much faith in her even after what she did to him.

Agree! That ball definitely felt like the definition of a banter relationship filled a bit with love and hate. The dialogue was perfect in that scene and the way she just makes Bruce sound like a *****e bag and selfesh is hilarious when it's really the other way around and there's really seems like some flirting going on as well. Maybe dosen't fall really in love until after the bomb, but definitely feels something for him when she asks him to runaway with her because Selina just isn't the character to ask someone to runaway with her for no reason, and the way she kisses him before going to drop the bomb.

I think the moment Bruce fell in love with Selina was when he saw her strutting to the Batpod and thought to himself "dat ass!"

By then, Bruce had hit rock bottom. ;)

That's how I interpreted it too. I think Bruce was genuine with his compliment though.

Her apology seemed sincere to me. Selina only knew Dagget wanted Bruce's prints to make a business deal. She didn't realize they would bankrupt him.

I think that's mostly accurate. The only thing I'll say is her performance when she says "I'm sorry they took all your money" seems to suggest at least a little bit of pity for Bruce. Also, there's the fact that he could have easily called the cops on her for stealing the pearls and didn't. I think she's a bit confounded by Bruce being a much ballsier guy than she took him for at this point.

I don't think she was sincerely sorry but there's no evil intentions either. It's more of just a mocking or her being defensive because she thought Bruce was mocking her with his compliment about her place. I think the point of that scene was to show that Bruce can see right through her and he doesn't feel offended at all.

I would probably agree. And that's great thing about the ball scene. Pretty much every dialogue in that scene she says to him is suppose to offend him, but you can tell he dosen't give a **** and seems to find it more amusing than offensive.
