^^^to me this is the best one of hathaway, well done plus the suit is perfect !:fhm:

she is a good choice for Catwoman but ive always said there's no need for a Catwoman in the next batman film but who knows I may be proven wrong.

Catwoman is a character that needed Nolan treatmernt not saying Burton's version was bad anything.

It will be nice to see a version of Catwoman that's not born from a whole load of supernatural cat mumbo jumbo.

 This . It drives me crazy that folks complain that we are getting another Catwoman adapation . I am sorry but the supernatural stuff maybe cute in the Tim Burton world but I want her character to be truer to the comics . It was also nice seeing the a pidgy over the hill Joker not shaking his bum to Prince music .

Actually, we were talking about the alternate voices of the actors in the TOM HARDY AS BANE thread earlier. Maybe she will make it deeper in the same way Pfeiffer did, but maybe she won't have to. Dent's voice was the same and I liked it that way. I also think that Bane will be the one who 'evolves' over time, like Ra's and Dent, and Catwoman, being the 'classic' foe like Scarecrow and the Joker, will be the same from the get go. I thought otherwise earlier but I think it's best that she's Catwoman from the start, perhaps even part of Batman's current "case" like the mob was in TDK.

Oh yeah, and I definitely want her to 'leave a mark' that'd be really fun to watch. I've been re-watching the old animated series and one of my favorite Bat/Cat moments is at the end of Almost Got 'Em, where the two empathize and have somewhat of a reconciliation at the end of a long feud with the rest of the rogues. They share a moment contemplating the possibility of a life together without the "freaks", without "secrets" and "maybe, without masks" before Batman pulls his disappearing act. They were talking on the roof, and I think something similar ought to be shown in the film too, at least it'd make me all giddy. Maybe by the pale moonlight ;)

But I think the best way to conclude their relationship is how it's been in the Loeb comics - especially Hush, Bruce just can't trust her in the end, even after having shared his secret. Or maybe they could go the Dark Victory route and the pair have a fall out so that in the end their 'normal chase' from the beginning of the film resumes yet again, only this time the Batman is no longer questioning himself.

Though I cringe thinking about Bale's Batman smiling. I mean sure, it's been a big part of Batman's myth that the guy doesn't smile, but even in the comics and the animated series they made it work and not look goofy. Hell, the DK:R Batman was downright scary when he laughed like the devil. Bale doing that? Without the mask? No. He's taken Batman to a whole different level of hahas - even though he's probably the one Bats who showed that he loved inside-jokes ("I'M BATMAAN!" *knocks Falcone out, all epic and stuff. Looks at the bum from when he ran away, loves fate's irony, says "Nice coat." Later, at Arkham he instigates a bit of crazy when he breaks through a cell, telling the inmates to "Excuse" him. Anyway, I digress, I loved his in-jokes with Gordon though). Wait... what was I talking about?

Yeah, I really enjoyed my canon fed, non-perma white, no gadget wielding, non Joker toxin, and highly un-funny Joker, that we always see in the comics. Nolan has a way of just making his villain adaptations to be 100% perfect.:whatever:

Great minds :woot:

From what I remember, Halle Berry's Catwoman was also supernatural in some way. She inherited the spirit of cats or some hogwash like that.

It was also nice seeing the a pidgy over the hill Joker not shaking his bum to Prince music .

Or being the killer of Batman's parents, or trying to get into Vicki Vale's panties all the time :cwink:

Is the Joker from the comics supposed to be funny? 'Cause I never laugh with his jokes.

I completely agree. Catwoman is THE one character I wanted to see reinvented above all characters. I was holding my breath about it for so long and relieved/thrilled that it is actually happening. I'm really warming up to Anne Hathaway after seeing some amazing manips on here.

Sometimes he is, like when he made Dr Hurt fall and hit his head with a Banana peel.

I guess its what he thinks is funny, like killing people with poison, laughing fish, etc. Its not funny in real life.

I wonder if there's any chance that in this movie, Catwoman may give Batman that iconic scar from the comics?

I love the symbolism there. Catwoman is Batman's most prolific and recurring love interest of all time, and it's quite fitting that in one of their earliest battles she literally left a scar over his heart. Catwoman placed her mark, and it will always be part of him. It's actually pretty romantic when you think about it. :O

It would also be a great bit of irony if after Lucius told Bruce that "it should protect against cats," it is Catwoman who finds the chink in Batman's armor and cuts through it. Maybe that, coupled with the suit slowing him down while chasing Catwoman would get him to go back to Lucius for his new suit. :awesome:

Thanks for posting this! It makes me so excited that this could very well be a scene in the movie. I really hope it is. I wonder if this is the costume they will use for Catwoman.

I doubt it because Batman wears armor. Normally she shouldnt be able to do that in the comics either, unless he's out of the suit or something.
I wouldn't mind more shirtless Bale scenes...err what were we talking about?
:funny:

How dare you use sarcasm against Mr. J? :P HE uses the punchlines, got it?

Btw, who else thought that RotJ's final encounter between Terry's Batman and the Joker was downright one of the best interpretations of the clown in a long time? I think it really toyed with his indulgence with humor.

Last thing Anne would want to do is emulate Pfeiffer's voice.
Of course she shouldn't, not only because it's already been done, but also because that sultry purr wouldn't be fitting for what will presumably be a less overtly sexualized version of the character. However, what I was saying is that if she's going to change her voice to hide her identity, it should be closer to Pfeiffer's mild voice change than to Bale's over the top Batman growl.

I hate that final encounter. It's full of cheese and completely messes up the last appearance of J's character in the TAS universe, imo.

 Have you seen the Joker in TAS?

personnaly I want a shirtless Hathaway :woot::awesome: (she does that every two movie, let's get going)

Also, I hope the new Bat-cave incorporates the same damp, old feel from Begins and mixes with the cold, bright tech-savvy bunker from TDK for various newly-designed chambers. From a visual angle, the contrast would be incredible.

I keep having this feeling that Fox has more people working with him than he lets on. Anyway, back to Anne Hathaway - how fun would it be to have her steal the bat-pod?

I doubt it because Batman wears armor. Normally she shouldnt be able to do that in the comics either, unless he's out of the suit or something.

If Catwoman's claws are sharp enough and she used enough force it's plausible that she could puncture the armor. If Batman's suit is completely impenetrable to her then she won't really pose any threat if they ever fight. They could even play homage to Batman Returns where Catwoman catches him off guard and finds the weak spot in his armor where she can get her claws through.

Or, a simpler solution: she could be robbing him as Bruce Wayne and leave the claw marks on him when he tries to stop her. It would actually be interesting if Bruce's encounters with both Selina and Catwoman are what causes him to resume his father's philantrhopic interests, because we never really see that aspect of his character in the previous two movies. When Selina first meets him, she thinks he is an arrogant, spoiled D-bag, which makes him a perfect target for robbery.

God I sure hope you didn't watch it with the same "feh...cartoons, so childish! So cheesy! So Not For Grown Ups like Moi" mentality as a lot of people I know did

I think it was classic, especially when Terry starts laughing at him. And the Joker tells him to stop it. He goes "Why? I always thought the Joker wanted to make Batman laugh!" Yeah I get you're not buying it, but I still think it's great.

Anyway, back to Hathaway - is it too much to ask for a Bruce/Selina sex scene? Since we didn't get one for Rachel that is.

(Okay I admit, this entire post is a bit juvenile, but who agrees with me? :awesome:)
