I’d guess DP2 Tuesday, Squad maaaaaaybe Friday, certainly by Saturday. I just want to see it pass BvS, which should permanently ashcan any more talk of it somehow underperforming domestically.

Looks like it will happen by Mon/ Tue.

Outside the Japan opening, the rest of the world markets are dying rapidly. Right now it's about 13.9 million short of Iron Man 3 for top overseas solo film. If it gets another 8 or so from Japan, gonna need 6 million from the rest of the world after doing 4 million total since last Sunday. Gonna be really close.

The Japan opening was on par with Deadpool (final 19.2) and Squad (17) so unless something really odd happens it ought to puff past IM3 OS with room to spare.

I think usually cbm's have 5X multiplier in Japan, since Aquaman had 3 mil opening weekend, it can end up earning near 15 mil in Japan. So, Japan+rest of the world can hopefully add 16 mil to make it top overseas solo film.

The multiplier's off of the 2 day OW in Japan for previous DC movies are JL - 5.4x, WW - 5.0x, BvS - 5.0x, Skwad - 4.5x & MOS - 3.6x. Aquaman's 2 day OW (Saturday & Sunday) came in at 2.2m so (10-11)m final total is the range we are looking at in Japan atm.

2.2 was the estimate, plus 800 Friday for a 3 total. But the report is now 3.7, which would mean SS came in at 2.9, unless Friday was underestimated by 700 which seems unlikely to me. That would put it in a par with Black Panther, which finished at 14.

Yeah, Blitz posted that according to estimates, Aquaman has reached $328.689 mil. which means it has crossed BvS's 53 day domestic total but it will still need to reach $330.36 mil to go beyond BvS final domestic total.

The only property from that list that Aquaman should have had a shot of beating is Suicide Squad. It’s taken down some big names, but Aquaman’s numbers also show that those properties could have made a hell of a lot more. The worldwide GA is totally up for a well-executed DCEU.

Ah, that's where I was getting confused. Mistook the 53 day total for the final total. Cheers for clearing it up.

Sounds likely to make at least that with the way the weekend’s internal multiplier worked out. Low Friday but higher Sat and Sun.
