Just started season 1 again with my brother, what a solid pilot.

The pilot is one of my favourite episodes, after watching it I realised how badass this GA was gonna be.

Well, that's two reasons not to kill Clock King

1) It's Robert Knepper. He almost saved Heroes, which would have been quite a feat.
2) It's the Clock King! You know he calculated getting revived!

Alternatively, Blood pulls a aStarscream and Arrow and Deathstroke's duel ends up becoming a three-way melee where Arrow must choose to fight between Deathstroke and Grundy, manages to use gamesmanship to actually come out on top, only to find Merlyn came back and kidnapped Thea.

That's my prediction anyway. I still think Blood will break free on his own as the Season Big Bad while Slade evolves into a series big bad.

I would love that too. Anything that involves Slade, Grundy, and Merlyn would be incredible to watch.

He really did. Season 4 tried it's darndest to make up for the giant pile of steaming cow intestines that was season 3. When people ask me about Hereos, I tell them to watch season 1, come to me so I can give them some quite notes, and then watch Season 4 and leave the rest behind.

Still, the fact they're on the same set could suggest a scene together...

I really like the idea that Slade sees an opportunity to corrupt Thea and he winds up being the one to train her. He clearly acted as an excellent mentor to Ollie on the island, and their would be some fun with his character if he manages to still do some "good" while still being Ollie's antagonist.

The way I figure it, either Slade or Malcolm tries to kidnap Thea and falls under the crosshairs of the other. So we either get Malcolm forced into an extremely bitter alliance of convenience with Arrow, or we get Slade to pull a Big Damn Villain moment and demonstrate how he's different than Malcolm. I'd prefer the latter; I think Ollie's more likely to feel torn about Slade when you combine his guilt from the island with Slade sending mixed signals as to his goals, while I don't see him ever really working with Merlin.

Either one would be awesome though.

Hmm... Sara could be a potential Oracle if she ends up paraplegic (thanks to Slade or whatever), while Laurel becomes the BC. Is less predictable than she dying and would keep her around as a member of the Birds of Prey, so Felicity can stay with Team Arrow.

Err. I really don't want a Felicity centric episode if it involves more shipper pandering.

Clock King as Felicity's rival and counterpoint is an awesome idea. She's been the closest thing the show's had to an untouchable asset since Lance found out about her in Season One, so having Tockman hijack their communications and immediately begin messing with her mojo is a scary idea. He's even got his own computer bank opposite hers. And now each member of Team Arror has a specific personal nemesis: Diggle has Deadshot, Ollie has Malcolm, and Felicity has Clock King.

And regardless of shipping, I can already tell this Sara vs Diggle and Ollie scene is going to only fan the flames of LaurelVSara for the Black Canary stockings; Laurel will still probably be at the bottom of her storyline, with her whole world revolving around someone else, while Sara will be highlighting her comic namesake's martial arts superiority. She's going to come off as Ollie's equal in this episode, and that's going to make fans of the more independent and powerful Black Canary rally to her corner.

Awesome preview. The Laurel as Black Canary ship has sailed several times. Like you said, Black Canary is Green Arrow's equal. And they continuously showcase that on the show. If Laurel would start to begin with her training, she'd be no better than a sidekick, and Roy would already be ahead of her.

And I don't want to follow a new Black Canary that is trying to catch up with Arrow. Especially since we'd probably get stupid moments like Laurel trying to prove she's got what it takes, only to end up a damsel in distress.

Personally, I'd like to see them go back to the Diggle/Oliver/Felicity Arrow team... I'm starting to wonder if TPTB have gone too big too quickly. Diggle has been firmly dropped to the background recently.

I really doubt Sara could take out Oliver in a fight, even Nyssa couldn't.

I really want to see her fight Diggle though, and how ridiculous it would look for the biggest guy on the show to be 'put down' by one of the smallest girls. Might as well continue to drag Diggles character through the mud.
