Speaking of twitter & Facebook and whatnot... Can't help but think the Arrow cast are the fittest on TV ATM... Amell, Holland, Ramsey & Cassidy have all been hitting training hard recently...

make sense since Cassidy and Holland is likely to play a physical as BC and Speedy? respectably

Well they are one of the few action shows on tv atm so no surprise.

Anyways... it seems like they are building towards a tv Justice League

our likely team so far...

Arrow
Canary (probably Laurel)
The Flash
Atom

I can totally see them introducing Hawkman at some point. I thought he was done pretty well on Smallville. Hawkman CAN be done on a tv budget, and he would fit right in with the rest of the characters that have been introduced.

:hmm Keith Griffin-like JL of the 90's(as far as members)?

Holland? Training for what?

I don't like the idea of Thea being in that whole world. Its nice to have some 'normal' characters around, for lack of a better word. Especially since season 3 is introducing a bunch of new characters.

Considering who she ran off with in the finale, this really shouldn't come as a surprise...

From the Willa/Thea thread...

Not sure what she's training for exactly, but I've seen at least a couple of tweets about being in the gym or things related to working out.

I do agree with your preference, it would be nice to have someone 'normal'... But I think with all that's gone on this season, I can't see her being able t stay normal.

no chance of Thea being normal......she probably be trained to be archer....and beside she does have some trophies........she will likely be speedy

The one I really don't want to see become a fighter is Felicity. Short of a few defensive moves, she doesn't need to be able to kick ass like the others, that's not her role.

Agreed, which is why Oliver and Diggle should stop letting her go out into the field. It never ends well for her.

Oliver's normal life has been marginalized more and more as the show's progressed, so Thea pretty much had to get involved for them to find stuff to do with her. There should be non-combatants on the show, or at least people like Quentin who can't compete at Oliver's level, but they'll likely be characters that are designed to fit into whatever the ongoing plot is instead of just friends of Oliver who have no clue what's going on.

Honestly, I had hoped that if/when we saw Thea, Roy, and Laurel become proficient and able fighters on this show that it would take at least a few years of training for them to do so, but seeing as how Roy was already good enough to shoot several arrows and take on a few Mirakuru soldiers in the season 2 finale, despite having little to no actual on-screen training with an arrow or fighting techniques that would warrant the skills displayed...yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Roy and Thea are already nearly as good as Oliver by the time the season 3 premiere airs.

considering Thea already won some archery trophies...her training might be more mental than physical.......Roy he will probably continue to master a bow and arrow but I think he will at least be good enough to shoot at someone. It going be 5 long months but it unlikely Roy will wear his costume until the mid season break which give him about 10 months of training on and off screen.

This was posted in the Thea thread but I really think this tidbit should be posted here

“They wanted Oliver to be my son, and I said, ‘No, it’s too Star Wars.’ It’s, ‘Oliver, I’m your father.’ But if you do Thea then it creates a whole new can of worms because Oliver will have a very difficult time killing Malcolm because he knows what it’s like to lose a father and won’t want to kill his sister’s father. And also it meant I was guaranteed a job for a long time. Yay!”

Thank You John Barrowman. Gotta be honest that may have turned me off the show.

That would've been really stupid. I'm having a hard enough time not rolling my eyes at the fact that he's Thea's biological father.

I don't think it a good idea for Oliver to have Malcolm as his father.......should stick to the comic book version is better

Agreed; plus given that Thea was more of a specially created character for the show, while taking traits from Speedy in the comics, she's definitely the one that I would be more okay with doing these types of twists than changing too much of a canon character's background/ties.

stephen Armell posted a new photo on FB what you think? put it in spoiler for those who want no spoilers

Well, it's good to see it now than be shocked about it later, I guess.

So we've been seeing a "bald" bearded Amell all year, but now he looks back to normal.

And Quinton?Where yo hair at?

I know, right? Must've been one hell of a crappy surgeon if s/he had to shave all the hair off his head just to patch up his punctured LUNG!! :woot:

Earlier this year I shaved my head. No reason other than to see how it looked, I liked it so I've kept it (mostly) that way since... No life threatening injury needed for me to do it...

Would guess he just decided to try something different when he hit the barbers...

Some of you guys are ridiculous seriously, listen to yourselves haha. My god.

I wouldn't have hated the original approach as much as some, but making it Thea was the right call.
