How long did they even spend on that island together? It must have been at least a couple months. Since the entire first season spanned a time frame of an entire year. The first time Ollie and Slade get together, you already have them training intensively for like 10 days. That's all they did. Train, eat and sleep. And in those 10 days he was still pretty much useless. At most, he was able to disarm a guy.

Then when Shado arrives, you still just have them spending probably weeks on the island, just surviving, and again nothing else to do but train.

Laurel trains in her free time, while still being a District Attorney and having tons of other responsibilities.

Shado was with Slade and Oliver for months, not weeks. Five, if I remember correctly.

What if her suiting up too early is the point? Was chatting to my brother about the images and I told him it was too soon. His theory (one of the few he threw out) is that Laurel suits up quickly and ends up causing a hell of a problem (maybe with some major fallout like Roy loses his arm). The rest of this season is her trying to atone properly for her latest **** up...

....

...We can dream I guess...

That would be a HUGE mistake on their part.

From what I remember, there was a short montage showing Oliver training with an Arrow before he finally got his first kill with it. That always felt very rushed to me.

And did they change the jacket? Does Laurel take Nyssa's comment to heart and not wear Sara's jacket or did she get it tailored to be longer? And seriously, where do they get these outfits made?

Team Arrow get the costumes made in Bludhaven by a guy. It's never mentioned in the show but in the tie-in comics it's shown

I think the costume's ok. Thought they'd add some color like blue, gray, or yellow to differentiate things a bit more. Like that they covered up the cleavage. Surprised that she isn't wearing the make-up around her eyes.

You see him in scenes with Thea and he’s sensitive towards her and really shows his love towards her, but then he can be out on the battlefield and still be a bad-ass. He’s always flipping off of things. Anytime there’s a car, he’s going to do a flip off of it, which is really cool.

If you mean by cool, silly. Then yes, Colton. It's very cool.

Sorry but they have had the character screw up enough, she does not need anymore major screw ups for the rest of her duration on the show.

It's really a lose/lose situation. Either she screws up, and people keep hating her for it. Or she'll suddenly be a Mary Sue again, turning into a capable fighter with a minimal amount of training.

I agree somewhat though I think they can find a nice middle ground. They really should've just given her training during the time jump instead of Thea.

No in between for you, huh, Nathan?

They are writing for Laurel. I don't believe they are capable of delivering something in between. You either have Laurel the screw up, or Laurel as the only one being able to give a speech that motivates the hero, sees the villain for who he really is, and saves the hero's ass, because he suddenly turned stupid.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I can agree that they've proven that they have a difficult time writing for her.

What if one of the reasons she dons a costume so fast is because her father is so worried about not hearing from Sara that she wants him to believe she is still out there alive and fighting? Sure it would be messed up of her to not call him while in town, but I know Laurel would want to hint that from him for as long as possible.

Tommy Merlyn Is Returning to Arrow—But There's a Twist!

The Arrow/Flash crossover episode is going to reveal a big secret about Oliver. What can you tease about what that secret is?
We're going to answer a question that fans have been asking us for a while now. It's honestly such a big secret that I don't even want to come close to spoiling it. It's fairly major. It's one of the biggest bombs we've ever dropped on the show, except we're not even doing it on the show! We're doing it on Flash.

Not really digging it.

He said it's something we've been wanting an answer to for a long time. We didn't know Oliver had a son until fairly recently.

He said for a while now and the question of what happened to Oliver's son is something that was teased but never touched upon after that episode, but fans haven't forgotten. Whether that's the reveal or not, I wonder if when they finally do reveal that, if his son's name will be Connor. At this point in the story, he can't be older than 6-7 at most, so I wonder if they would want to just say he exists for the fan's sake.

That's not really a massive bomb or a revelation to me. We know he has a kid, will knowing his name and that he's a boy, be such a big revelation?
