THE TEAM DEALS WITH OLIVER’S DISAPPEARANCE — In the aftermath of Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) fight with Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Arsenal (Colton Haynes) continue to protect the city in the Arrow’s absence. However, after three days without hearing from Oliver, they begin to fear the worst may have happened to their friend. I really hope the season picks up when it starts up again. Arrow is reminding me of Scandal right now. Both had incredibly strong second seasons with a break-neck pace and both hit their third seasons trying to keep the momentum going but failing. Unfortunatly for Arrow, it doesn't have Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, Joe Morton, Bellamy Young, Jeff Perry and the rest of Scandal's incredibly strong cast to keep it going. Arrow has actors who are very good at the roles they play, but aren't necessarily fantastic actors. That isn't to say that there aren't great ones on there (Susanna Thompson, Manu Bennett, John Barrowman) but they are either dead, imprisoned, or missing from a lot of episodes. Scandal picked it up again so I'm hoping Arrow can too.

The three episodes following Oliver's seeming death "are among the best we've ever done. They're incredibly compelling," EP Marc Guggenheim promises. The fallout at home not only "makes it necessary" for Laurel to don the Canary costume, but also brings together characters that previously haven't shared a lot of screentime. "There's a lot of Thea and Felicity," and "[Felicity will] have some pretty big moments with Laurel as well." Diggle gets "emotional" in the first hour back, shares David Ramsey, who also hints that the H.I.V.E. storyline will be revisited. Viewers also haven't seen the last of another elite group. "We're definitely going to bring back the Suicide Squad," EP Andrew Kreisberg confirms. And though Sara's killer has been unmasked, Sin will play "a pivotal part" in that storyline in Episode 12, while Sara (Caity Lotz) and Vertigo (Peter Stormare) both appear in Episode 13. Not to be outdone, big bad Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett) returns the following week.

Fazekas: Marc, CBS is doing Supergirl. What is the possibility of a crossover?

Guggenheim: It's possible.

THR: I actually heard it's in Greg's deal, that Supergirl can cross over with Flash and/or Arrow.

Butters: How many members of the Justice League would you like to get all together?

Guggenheim: On Arrow or in general?

Butters: On Arrow.

Guggenheim: At the end of the day it'd be so awesome to have Batman on the show. That'd be really cool. I don't think that will be happening anytime soon, but you never know…one day. One thing we're always saying…we never expected to have had the Huntress [Jessica De Gouw], Deathstroke [Manu Bennett] or Deadshot [Michael Rowe]; we ended up with a lot more DC Comics characters becoming part of the show than we had ever planned. It wasn't initially part of the pitch or the conception of the show. Now here we are in our third season and we've Flash [Grant Gustin] and the Suicide Squad and we're going to have Katana and we have Ray Palmer [Brandon Routh], and it seems like you could field an entire show off the characters that we have introduced on Arrow. That's so beyond anything we expected. That's a long-winded way of saying I've learned not to expect anything or make any predictions because the reality has far exceeded any of our initial predictions or initial conceptions.
