It is weird that used Onomatopoeia in 2.5 comics but not in the show yet when he is a major Green Arrow villain.

Maybe it's better that way. They seem to really not know what to do with the few characters that actually are Green Arrow villains.

I think onomatopeia will eventually show up. is he really consider a major GA in the same class as Merlyn, Court Vertigo and deathstroke

Mr. Blank from season 1 was their version of Onomatopeia.

Oliver has 2 years to master russian, fly a plane, master multiple fighting skills like judo and all that, use bow and arrow as his signature weapon, knowledge of technology and hacking and his motive for returning to Starling
He kind of already can fight and use the bow arrow. And his knowledge of technology disappeared alongside Raisa, Tommy roofing women and Moira being the big bad.

He just shows up in 1 panel fighting Arrow, thats all. Thought it was more.

Sigh... I don't get their casting decisions. It's like they are throwing darts at a wall filled with portraits of random actors. So Brick, who's undeniably portrait as a black person in the comics, gets played by a white actor. Now a character who's a fricking Nazi, gets played by a black actor.

We live in a world where a lot of these so called "DC Original" characters aren't faithful or "original" when presented on television.lol

Green Arrow=Batman

The Atom= Iron Man (Superman at times)

Count Vertigo= Scarecrow

Deathbolt= Cyclops

Felicity Smoak (Firestorm's mom)= Chloe Sullivan 2.0

Shado (Japanese/Yakuza Affiliated)= Chinese Descent

Heck, even on "The Flash", Danielle's current take on "Caitlin Snow" (aka Killer Frost) is more like Iris West from the comics in appearance and personality than Candice's one.

Frankly, I don't expect any DC character to actually be like their Comic Book Counterparts other than name or gimmick.

I don't know why they don't bother on bringing back Komodo (who, surprisingly, wasn't killed off last season).

The dude would have made a great recurring villain for Oliver.

How is Caitlin anything like Iris? Count Vertigo was more like the Joker. This seasons Vertigo was like Scarecrow. Felicity also has very little in common with Chloe, beyond surface.

The writers have made sure to retcon that stuff.

Nothing new. They changed Sin from an Asian child who was being groomed to be the next Lady Shiva to a white street kid Sara takes under her wing.

They could actually get away with saying Laurel is just his ex at this point, but they should acknowledge it.

Even though I care less since this is a very minor character, choosing the best actor for roles is totally great but not when they are suppose to be a nazi. And just because it isn't the comics doesn't mean it is free range. I don't see them choosing the best actor for the bigger more iconic roles.

I'm not even sure why they are using this character. He's never fought Green Arrow in the comics. Then again, I suppose they got tired of fighting with Gotham over second tier Batman foes.:whatever:

Yeah, I was talking about Season 3's version of Count Vertigo.

And you really don't see any similarities between Chloe and Felicity?

1. Both are blonde women, who are portrayed in that awkward but pretty role.

2. Both are geniuses when it comes to computers to the point where they're always behind one, giving instructions to the team out in the field.

3. And despite both having no romantic connection or interaction with Green Arrow in the comics, they somehow manage to outshine Black Canary in the love interest department

I think I can add more both is best friends with the hero with superpowers Chloe best friends with Clark Felicity best friends with Barry, really Barry is so similar to Clark its really something there's even some Clois parallels I see with Barry/Caitlin, for one the singing Clois would do that and Lois would do it while being drunk just like Caitlin. :yay: Also Smallville S1 ends with Clark going into a tornado Flash S1 ends with Barry going into a vortex like a tornado, really there's a lot of parallels between both shows is really something.

This where they dropped the ball with the season 3 flashbacks for me, he did no training at all, it should have shown doing more with Maseo and Katanna and learning from them.

I'm not saying that Oliver and Laurel need to get together in the present. What I'm saying is that Oliver - the one we've been following in the flashbacks - needs to express at least some interest in reuniting with Laurel. She's become less and less important to him as the flashbacks have gone on, and that's inconsistent with what we were lead to believe in season one (and maybe two). His relationship with Felicity in the present shouldn't be affecting his feelings for Laurel in the past.

Oh, I get you now. It seems that even in that flashbacks it is about him and Felicity :funny: (like when he seen her in the office and she was admiring his photo). Maybe if in season 5 they have Oliver back in love with Laurel in the present they will have Oliver "rediscover" his love for Laurel in the past.

Yes to all of this. I mean, I enjoy the show, but yeah. All of this.

According to guggenheim, Oliver's kid on the show isn't Connor because the mom is white and Connor is mixed-race in the comics.

Bravo Arrow, one of your few non-forced and organic storylines and they manage to mess that up.

Okay...so...Oliver's child in the series is either Robert Queen II (weird choice) or an original character (why?).

Not even Guggenheim is that foolish.

I don't think they'll be able to drag it on pastseason five.

The greater likelihood is that they’re dropping the storyline (one wouldn’t want an unpleasant paternity issue to interfere with Olicity Of all the storylines on Arrow that they’ve not bothered to address , from his father’s book to his intimate history with both the Triad and the Bratva (fluent in Mandarin, and Russian.
