That's the problem to me and why I drop the show in season 4.

Personally, Felicity was funny to me, but now she is like the most important character on the show and her drama, her lovelife, her flashback, her mom, her story about the company she got for free, her unbelievable godlike skills in hacking, the way everybody said how great she is, really bored me a lot.
Last season, she was basically what Laurel was in season 2 for me.

I just wasn't a fan of how every guest last season in the final 6 episodes was telling them both to be with each other. Again, poor writing and use of characters.
Well with all due respect to David Ramsey, he's not going to say the 2nd half of the season is bad and he also doesn't speak for me, so i'll judge for myself.

S2's first half was stronger than S4's..

So what if there are episodes in S4 that are better than some episodes in S2? S3 had episodes that were better than S2 still doesn't change that it was a overall subpar season compared to S1 & S2.
Yeah, I love Amell, but he was clearly doing PR work last season with all the praise.

:hehe:

Oh, looks like Felicity's walking again. Neat.

(I haven't seen the last few episodes, so I don't know if she's already recovered.)

The worst part of season 1 was easily the forced love triangle with Tommy, Oliver and Laurel. And of course, this is the CW, so you have to expect that.

But my issue with the past two seasons is not that Olicity is a thing. I'm not saying it needs to end. But what I will say it needs to be handled a little better. Olicity was pretty much absent between episode 1 and episode 9 last season, but it was when it became the main focus, that the season suffered.

Smallville had the same issue where Clana was its bread and butter, but after a few years, it was tiresome and it felt forced to the point where no one really wanted it anymore, and it took Kristin Kreuk leaving, as well as Miles/Gough leaving, for the show to go in a different direction. But even then, her 5 episode return killed all momentum in season 8.

There are ways to handle relationships and characters, and when it comes to Felicity, they've dropped the ball badly last season and they come close to picking it back up, but they haven't fully recovered.
It's funny, because those 5 episodes were more like what Arrow has been doing with Felicity than what Al and Miles did on Smallville with Lana in their run. Not even Smallville did what they do. They usually ignored fan majority as well.

God bless you! God bless everyone!

So anyone else got the Arrow - Vengeance novel? I got it in the mail today but haven't started reading it yet. Supposedly it's about Rochev, Blood, and Slade. Should be interesting.

Who wrote it? And let me know how that goes.

S1 and S2 we had Moira

Now we have Donna

That right there sums up the problem with the current direction of the show for me.

Oscar Balderrama and Lauren Certo co-wrote it. Oscar wrote "The Fallen" in S3 and was script coordinator for "The Magician," and Lauren wrote three of the Flash "Season Zero" comics.

That sounds cool. Let me know if it's worth picking up.

110% agree. Moira was a genuine mother-figure character with actual depth and emotion. Donna is a source of humor and sex appeal, nothing more, and she really needs to go or her writing needs to get better.

Will do!

I kind of disagree with this. Donna actually is a somewhat developed character. One of her major roles is comedic, but she can do serious at the drop of a hat as well (as seen in 4x13). That said, Moira is still amazing and still probably my favorite all time character on the show.

Does that "Bam" comment irritate anyone as much as it irritates me?

Just comes off dripping in a olicity fanboy tone.
Is anyone else annoyed about how some how the anti-olicity people have become more annoying than the olicity people? In general, I was upset with the way the handled their relationship last year, but this year its actually been done quite well (especially by tv

Okay, that's fair. It's just she's not used for serious parts very often, leaving her to be a mostly comedic character. There shouldn't be a specific "comedic" character, IMO; they should all have jokes and quips, some more than others, but there shouldn't be a character whose almost sole purpose is comedy. Even Cisco in Flash has terrific story purposes, which makes him great because he's genuinely funny and important at the same time.

Agreed. I'm not thrilled by Olicity but it's growing on me, but the haters are starting to get really annoying. And honestly, unless you go on tumblr, you don't encounter the shippers, so all we ever get here is mostly hate, which gets really annoying really fast.

Man ... **** Marc Guggenheim.

After the way tonight ended, it had potential to be a powerful moment between both characters building some suspense for the break, but the fact that he released that spoiler pic earlier just goes to show how fearful they are that people will tune out if their beloved Olicity is not together to for episode.

I'm sorry, this isn't hate for any character, but more disappointment that this is what the show has come to. And the fact that he has to reassure everyone that the marriage is real, whereas he was quick to lie and say Felicity in a wheelchair was a dream. The guy clearly is scared of spoilers, he's scared of a part of his fanbase revolting.

So that's twice now this season that a major cliffhanger has been ruined by the cast/crew just before the episode airs... WTF?

The picture is for the next episode which also features Cupid so I don't think what is happening is entirely by their (Olicity) choice.

Alex Kingston is returning, so either for a flashback or a Lance death since those are the only 2 reasons they ever allow Dinah to return.

Also Laurel will be in S2 of Vixen.

Arrow was preempted by BB but is this correct? Felicity is able to walk with no rehab once her clip starts working?

You mean to tell me, we're going to get Arrow's version of a Smallville episode. Persuasion and Crimson to be exact.

The episode starts with her rehabbing, but giving up after one try, only to suddenly be able to walk freely by episode's end.

Wow, I remember how much rehab Bruce Wayne did after his back was broken and then had surgery to repair his spine. But Felicity doesn't need anything like that. Is the queen of the Mary Sues or maybe their goddess?
