So I started reading Arrow - Vengeance. It starts just before Oliver and Slade's fight on the Amazo.
Also, interestingly, it reveals that the Deathstroke mask with the arrow through the eye on the beach was actually put there by Slade, when I think everyone before would've assumed Oliver did it. I mean, why wouldn't Oliver suddenly be suspicious to find Slade's mask sitting on the beach with an arrow through the eye...after he'd put an arrow through Slade's real eye? Perhaps he just thinks one of Reiter's men did it, or something, but I know for my part I always figured Oliver put it there.
Also we get to meet Slade's ex-wife and son Joe (not the one in LOT, Grant). He goes back to ASIS and we see the new Deathstroke suit being designed. This is roughly 50 pages in. He has no mirakuru powers right now, due to swimming all the way from Lian Yu to an island where he could be picked up by ASIS, including through a storm. He's trying to figure out if the mirakuru's been drained from his body and if not, why it isn't working.
Watch them make [blackout]Felicity the new Black Canary[/blackout]

That's not true. If it was Arrow would have higher ratings than the Flash which does go for the comic book crowd. What people who make your argument don't seem to get is going more comic book has great mass market appeal. See the Flash, the MCU and Deadpool(even Fox may get it now)
If it is [BLACKOUT]Laurel[/BLACKOUT], then it is probably due to order from DC. If true, then that is a shame for the Arrow writers who do a great job and for [BLACKOUT]Katie[/BLACKOUT], who also does a great job. But like before, despite DC's interferences, this show will continue to be a success.
I am not necessarily agreeing or disagreeing, but can you elaborate on this please? The majority of people who watch these shows and go to these movies are not comic fans.
If the rumoured character is killed off, it is most likely because of an order from DC. Guggenheim couldn't be "screwing things up" too badly if you are still here two seasons later, cursing and throwing tantrums like a child.I seriously doubt it has anything to do with the movie universe. More like Guggenheim screwing things up like he has for the past two seasons.
I highly doubt there is much demand for Black Canary in the cinematic universe.
If what you say is true, that is quite interesting. I normally consider the whole "accurate to the comics" thing to be silly, as there are loads of different comics with different interpretations of each character. Everyone has their favourite stories and versions of a character and normally when they say "it is not like the comics" they mean not only the comics that they have read, but the comics that they have read and liked. As a result, I think it is very difficult to satisfy the comic fans because they all want different things. Maybe I am wrong, I don't know. That is just how it seems to me.That exactly the point. Doing it close to the source materiel has a proven track record of success. Arrow goes more romance than comic book and Flash does almost no romance and crushes Arrow in the ratings.
10 years ago if you told someone that movies about Captain America, Thor and Ant Man would beat Wolverine solos they would have thought you insane. However Fox has until Deadpool half assed the comic book elements while the MCU went all out the results speak for themselves.
In short the financial success of doing it more comic book like is clear even within the same company. One can hope that even Fox will understand that now. Guggenheim probably not.
Don't make me laugh. If the rumoured character is killed off, it is most likely because of an order from DC. Guggenheim couldn't be "screwing things up" too badly if you are still here two seasons later, cursing and throwing tantrums like a child.

To tell the honest truth, I did stop watching the show after how truly awful Season Three was. The only reason I'm here now is because just this past week, I sat down and powered through the beginning of this season and Katie Cassidy's Black Canary is more then 50% of the reason I bothered to catch up (along with Speedy and the Constantine appearance) and the main thing keeping me watching. Sadly to discover that the show hasn't improved very much. If these rumors are true, that will just be the straw that breaks the camel's back and I won't have a second thought about leaving Arrow behind. For good this time.
If what I say is true? You do realize the info on the ratings are factual and can easily be verified by ratings sites and boxofficemojo for the movies. Marvel has said they are making the movies as comic fans they want to see. And they have been wildly successful. Fox who had most of Marvel's popular characters in the X-Men has not done nearly as well. it is not rocket science to figure out why, come on now think a little bit.
I seriously doubt it has anything to do with the movie universe. More like Guggenheim screwing things up like he has for the past two seasons.

Calm down sweetheart. I never doubted Marvels success. I am just not sure that all of their movies are accurate to the comics because I have not read every comic for all of their characters, so I am not sure how accurate they are. I think making good, entertaining movies is more important than being accurate to the source material though. I think it is more likely that people just think Marvels movies are better than the ones that were made by Fox.
Don't be an ass. They are true to the spirit of the characters. It is impossible to do every comic. However it seems to me you want to not understand. Just the comparison between Arrow and Flash should be enough. One does very little romance and the comic book elements dominate the other does not.
