I haven't seen it since Felicity walked off. Just been coming here to get updates hoping to hear it's gotten better.

It is up and down. There is a good episode one week, then a bad episode the next week. Some of the good episodes have endings that leave a sour taste in the mouth though. The last episode was a good one and I really hope they can follow it up with another good episode so that we are in for a strong finish to the season.

I posted this in another thread, but it is more relevant this one. In the coming episodes, I am sure that we are going to see or hear more about Darhk's early days, and how he became the person that he is today. If they do show it, I hope Ra's will feature in those scenes.

So I read Kevin Smith wants to write an episode of Arrow. I say please make that happen but why stop with him. All the great Green Arrow comic writers should have a run.

Let him write and direct an episode.

The only problem would be, would he be down to push the characters in the direction that MG wants?

I would like it if that happened too. There have been references to Kevin Smith's Green Arrow comics on the show.

I'd like for him to write the direction of a whole season.

I dropped when Laurel bought it, anything interesting happen since then? Besides the nuke I mean

So what happened last night? I heard something about Ollie trying to stop a nuclear bomb with two arrows.

Darhk used rubicon to attempt to fire a crapload of nukes across the world and cause a nuclear armageddon, Felicity teamed up with her dad to stop them, but one of them still launched and a small town got wiped out.

a small town of like 100,000 people...

this show is trying so hard but failing so hard

10,000 I thought. Nevertheless, it has to be the first time I've watched a show that I've been invested in and a nuke (or any other cataclysmic event) has gone off, and I didn't even give a ****.

I remember watching season 2 and 6 of 24 and a nuke went off in the United States and those were some powerful scenes. All I could think of was "oh damn, felicity is going to blame herself for the rest of the series."

Nah. Since she's so gosh darned perfect in every way, Felicity will end up hacking the speed force and go back to fix everything.

Yeah, something I heard on the Collider After show is that this show works best when its dealing with ground level villains and street thugs. Hearing that Ollie is fighting nukes now is just dumb. At what point does the military and government get involved?

Oliver is not Superman or Batman.

I literally fell asleep last night, just terrible episode...

Oliver isn't just fighting nukes... he's fighting nukes that provide magical powers for a wizard!

I can't wait for this season to be over so i can wash my self of this show forever. It's gotten just so so so bad.

Next season will be better (he said hopefully, but doubtfully).

The Collider Arrow recap show made a good point too. For a show like Arrow I think they should focus more on street level type threats over global earth ending type events. That isn't something Arrow should be tackling.

Wow sorry man I just posted the same thing. Didn't see your post haha

I agree. The escapade into Palmer Tech was much better than them disarming a nuke (though too much Felicity in the Palmer Tech scenes). However, Oliver and Brick's fight was on point and probably the best hand-to-hand combat fight in the entire season.

Also, one thing they are doing is having other named villains besides the main baddie. For example, in S2 Slade had Blood and Rochev so the main characters had more than one character to face down. S3 sort of lacked that, but at least had Maseo. S1 didn't need other baddies; it was small-scale enough that Merlyn could be the main villain without henchmen, but throughout the entire season there were small-scale villains sprinkled through. S4 lacked that until now, but then Darhk gets Murmur, Andy, and Merlyn as homies, and now Andy's dead but he got replaced by Brick. It's pretty cool to have more than one named villain recurring, so we're not dealing with faceless Ghosts all the time.
