Oliver tells Diggle his father told that all the names in the list are evil.

Diggle asks how did that happen if Robert died before Oliver found the list.

Oliver says he found a message from his father telling that.

Diggle asks how he found a message if he spent five years in a deserted island.

Oliver doesn't say anything, but it becomes clear he didn't found it on the island.

Besides, he had to become a Russian mafia lieutenant somewhere.

Oh yes you're right. He even says he didn't find it on the island. I just never gave it a second thought.

What I'm hearing is that, at first, Slade Wilson and Deathstroke are not the same person.

This episode was a good way of incorporating Arrow fighting random street crime and the list.

I'm still enjoying the show, but I wish Ollie would be more swashbuckling like he has been in the comics. That animated short film that DC put out a few years ago was perfect. I'd like to see something like that.

Actually, he does say "I didn't say I found the message on the island." So yes, we do know that he left the island at least once.

^She is Dinah Lance. Laurel's mom. She's appearing to "make amends" with her family after she left when Sara died.

Maybe Slade Wilson, with the help of Ollie (after much training), kills the original Deathstroke and decides to become the new Deathstroke. Ollie sees Slade's true colors and tries to stop him, and they get into a big fight with each other. After this, they become mortal enemies.

What is this about Slade Wilson and Deathstroke being different people? Where did you hear that?

I like the island flashbacks, but I'm starting to wish they'd spend a whole episode there.

I wish they spent the first half of the season on the island. At first I liked the flashbacks, but now I don't like how they are broken up piece by piece. I'd rather it be coherent at this point.

I don't know if that would've been good for the show. It might've worked for the first episode or two but after that we'd get bored of the island and wish he get rescued.

With it being broken up we see past and present come together to make a good story and reveal how Ollie became how he is.

I juat wish the island flashbacks weren't so drawn out. I want to see Oliver training already. I suppose there's probably some grand connection between Deathstroke, the mercs and Malcolm Merlyn, the List and everything going on in Starling City... but it's frustrating not to see Oliver amd Yao Fei training.

I really like the island flashbacks as they are, and I think the reason for them being drawn-out is because they're probably hoping for more seasons to continue with the flashbacks.

And I'm not sure how I feel about Ollie possibly leaving the island and then coming back. But I guess it all depends on how they do it.

In Feb there will be an episode with really long island flashbacks. I.guess as much as the pilot or morr

I just think the flashbacks are drawn out because they have relevance to what's going on in the present. I'm just getting a little tied with how drawn out there are. But the mention of Vertigo in conjunction with Thea gave us a flashback of Yao Fei being unmasked as a merc... which suggests to me that the Vertigo has some kind of link with the mercs.

I'm not sure that's true, we got the flashback with the Yao Fei reveal after Ollie told Diggle that after the island it was hard for him to trust anyone.

I really don't think there's a connection between Vertigo and the island. The reveal happened when Ollie was talking about trust.

I'd bet money that the flashback occured after Ollie talk to Diggle about trust.

For whatever reason mine isn't working so I can't find out for myself. I honestly thought it was after he talked to Diggle about trust. Regardless I don't think Vertigo is tied to the island, he's just a drug dealer in Starling City. At least that's what I read on IGN.

First there is the trust talk with Ollie and DIggle, then comes Thea being arrested and last comes the island flashback.
