So does anyone else feel like they are setting up Malcolm to kill Moira,Oliver to kill
Malcolm,and Tommy to take over from Oliver and become his nemesis.

I see the Merlyns on show kind of cross between osborns and Smallville's version of Luthors.

The Islands flashbacks are going to be Intresting to see how Oliver survives and why he ends up being found alone.The ISland flashbacks are almost a different show.

They seem especilly In last couple of episodes to be planting seeds to get Oliver and Laurel together.

It defently seems like the arrow writers have learned from the mistakes of Smallville.

Watching Oliver and Laurel in flashback In last episode all I could think Is why In world would he cheat on her.Willa Holland Is my favorate of Arrow women but Katie Cassidy has beguin to grow on me.

I feel like that's the expectation, but I kind of want them to subvert it and have it be Tommy, not Malcolm, that gets killed, either as a result of Ollie's actions, perhaps being what inspires him to not be so lethal in the future, or as a result of Malcolm's undertaking. And then that really pits Oliver and Malcolm against eachother.

Ah. No worries then. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Hard to tell one's tone on the internet sometimes. Too often have I seen people complain about the most inane things.

Rule of Cool. About 90% of the fighting we see on television are unrealistic, impractical and wouldn't work in real life. What you saw is just one of many such examples on the show and virtually every action oriented show in the world.




So... you're complaining that she's behaving realistically? She was probably shocked and stunned as to what to do; which what happens in real life, more often than not. Most of the time, people don't know how to react when a fight suddenly breaks out in front of them.

Eh, it doesn't bother me much. I always found the concept of a domino mask to be kind of stupid. As terrible of a movie as it was, the scene in green lantern where carol figures out who Hal is in two seconds of seeing him is pretty spot on, doubly so for somebody as publicly known as Oliver queen.

So far, it seems like Malcom's Dark Archer is the only character that has gotten a believable disguise on the show since he gets both a hood and something to cover most of his face as well in case if his hood were to fall off or if someone saw past the shadows covering his face.

He definitely needs some kind of mask. He's stood close up to some of his victims right in their face, so they must've seen that it was Oliver Queen. The face paint doesn't help, and it's not like it is even all that visible sometimes.

So if I was writing this show heres what I would do.

Season one Finale, Oliver unknowingly betrays Slade to get off of the Island, Merlyn gets injured bad by Ollie shooting his natural disaster machine or something but doesn't die but everyone believes he does. Tommy starts hating Oliver. Final scene is Slade on a flight to Starling.

Season two, Ollie vs Deathstroke, deathstroke dies. Slade is too cool not to get a season arc to himself. Flashbacks are of Oliver and Shado in China then Russia learning more skills and more about his fathers work. Split those flashbacks with Tommy travelling to the places his dad went to and being built up as a believable challenge, have his own "island experience".

Season three, Ollie vs Tommy Merlyn seeking vengance for Laurel and his dad. Flashbacks are Oliver returning to the island allowing Slade to still be in this season despite being dead. Final scene reveals Malcolm is still alive.

Final Season, Ollie vs a returning Malcolm Merlyn with Tommy redeeming himself at the end. Flashbacks are ollie's final days on the island.

Something like that. I don't see the show lasting for 7 seasons, if it did it would get all sorts of convoluted. I really do not want Shado having Ollie's kid. Although her and her dad are potential present day season arcs also. People like Deadshot and Chyna White I'd keep as recurring, although Lawton does need to die at some point.
