Given how much this series seems to be taking inspiration from Mike Grell's run, I'm guessing trick arrows show up in season 6.

so when will we get the boxing glove arrow:o

When Mike Tyson cameos as a super villian that week.

Except, unlike Lana, she has a direction that is something other than "away from Clark Kent".

Laurel's direction involves blonde hair, a black leather costume, fishnets, and a motorcycle (and lots of ass-kicking). Lana direction was into my most hated tv characters of all time list (thank god that Chloe and Lois were so likeable).

True, but the way that they're approaching it isn't doing her character any favors. I think Felicity has a bigger fanbase than Laurel's character on the show, and that's saying something considering on how Laurel is supposed to be the female lead.

^ Laurel's got more fans than I think you realize, at least online. Another site I frequent has enough of a contingent of Laurel fans and supporters frequenting it and discussing her character that said discussion has to date spanned 5 appreciation threads.

The Oliver/Laurel relationship also has a lot of supporters, as discussion about that pairing on the same site has spanned 13 threads.

Really? Now that's surprising. But then again, the Lana and Clark relationship had its fair share of fans and that relationship was just written horribly after Season 2 of Smallville.

The writers are really going to need to write both Laurel and her relationship with Oliver more better since being stuck in Love Triangles isn't a good way to utilize any character, let alone someone who is meant to become Black Canary someday.

^ What's with the automatic assumption that they're going to do a love triangle? The reason they had a love triangle on Smallville is because the writers designed Lana to be one of the catalysts for the deterioration of Clark and Lex's relationship from friends to enemies.

However, I haven't seen anything that leads me to believe that they'll be doing something similar on this show.

And no, the Oliver/Tommy/Laurel dynamic isn't really a love triangle, at least as presented through the first 15 eps of the season.

1. Personally I, along with many others, despised the fact that they had use Lana Lang as being one of the "Major" reasons why Superman and Lex would become enemies, given on how iconic they are.

2. True, but it got really melodramatic when Oliver became single again after his police cop girlfriend left him and really made both Oliver and Laurel look bad since Tommy appeared to be the only one that was innocent from their emotional mess.

3. I think it was revealed not too long ago that a new character would be coming onto the show that would serve as Laurel's new boss and considering that this is a CW show, he'll likely be used in a TDK Harvey Dent way, where he becomes a romantic folly to Oliver's pursuit of Laurel.

^ I'm not seeing the correlation between introducing a Harvey Dent-type character and the automatic assumption that a love triangle involving this character, Oliver, and Laurel is imminent. I'm also not seeing the correlation between the show airing on the CW and a love triangle being imminent.

BTW, I probably don't have all the information right now given that I'm only on Dead to Rights, but based on what I've been able to find online, it sounds like the writers went for the tactic of reprising the Oliver/Sara/Laurel cheating scandal with Oliver, Tommy, and Laurel, which, again, doesn't really equate to a love triangle.

You do realize what a love triangle is right? Laurel had feelings for both Tommy and Oliver, with boy guys having feelings for her. If that's not a freaking love triangle, then I don't know what is.

And it's the CW that we're talking about here. They cater and pander to that sort of demographic here.

I never understood the phrase "love triangle" because that would have to involve at least one character to be bisexual so the lines would connect and form a triangle. And we've seen no evidence that any of them are. There is a line from Laurel to Oliver and a line from Laurel to Tommy, but no line between Oliver and Tommy. So it's more like a love...

ARROW!:wow:

I know I said earlier that by characterizing the Huntress the way they have the producers created a Batman/Catwoman-type dynamic but with her and Oliver, but, after thinking about it some more and watching most of The Huntress Returns, her characterization and the dynamic between her and Oliver actually reminds me more of an entirely different character: Andrea Beaumont, AKA The Phantasm.

If you missed EW's ComicCon preview, Arrow ep @mguggenheim said he plans to show a teaser of the 1st ep that will "bring the house down."

Maybe Shado shows up in Starling City with a five year old son named Connor.

I'm betting the teaser will end with someone, in a serious manner not jokingly like before, uttering the name "Green Arrow."

Cracker Jack say "What"???:wow:

CW's 'Arrow' Casts 'The Pact's' Caity Lotz as Black Canary (Exclusive)

"The Pact" star Caity Lotz is set to play the Black Canary on The CW's "Arrow," TheWrap has learned.

While the Black Canary will start out as a recurring role, Lotz is expected to eventually become a series regular, as her character will be groomed as a love interest for Arrow (Stephen Amell).
The Black Canary is a notable character in the DC Comics franchise, and both The CW and the producers of "Arrow" are high on its potential.

Created by the writer-artist team of Robert Kanigher and Carmine Infantino, the Black Canary is the alter-ego of Dinah Drake. Comic magazine Wizard once ranked Black Canary as the 71st greatest comic book character of all time.

Lotz, who had a recurring role on AMC's "Mad Men," also starred on the MTV series "Death Valley." She'll soon be seen in Screen Gems' dance film "Battle of the Year," as well as the indie movies "The Machine" and "Live at the Foxes Den."

Lotz's casting arrives about a week after news broke that "Arrow" had brought on cult character actress Summer Glau in the role of Isobel Rochev, a Queen family friend and also a speculative love interest for Arrow.

I'm with Sawyer it's BS. Unless its in a flashback. They have been saying we are getting a team this season. Maybe it's one from the past. But like Sawyer said most likely BS.

Hmm. I trust Berlanti and Co. enough to wholeheartedly believe that, if this is true, they will make it make sense. They've already proven that they aren't afraid to put their knowledge of and love for the comics source material to use by thinking up ways to put their own spins on said material, and I don't think they've failed yet in doing so successfully.

What? I guess that maybe she could be a woman who called herself Black Canary and then Laurel could use the name for inspiration, maybe.

I want to reserve judgment untill I watch the second season because I did love the first, but they pushed really hard to get Laurel and Oliver togheter, even killing Tommy, and now they just get a Black Canary out of nowhere wich is not Laurel (Laurel Dinah Lance as stated by Tommy on the first episode if I'm not mistaken) who is a love insterest to Oliver? And having Oliver a third love interest with the other woman who's trying to take over his industries... and let's not forget about Shado during the flashback scenes... they manage to balance romance with action and stories on the first season, but it starts to look like there will be too much romance this time... I don't wanna be negative because I do like this show a lot, I just hope they don't screw things up on the second season....
