I still don't know how I feel about it since they already introduced a Dinah drake, I just hope she's somehow related to Laurel

I just don't care for comic accuracy anymore. Let her just be someone new and completely unrelated. And hopefully the actress playing Black Canary will be so awesome, that they'll eventually decide to let her stay, and just completely forget about Laurel.

Notes from the panel:

John Barrowman is back....at SDCC. He joins the panel but it's left unclear whether Malcolm Merlyn will be returning to the show. He says if asked, he'll gladly come back.

Bronze Tiger and Brother Blood will also appear in Season Two. Michael Jai White will play Bronze Tiger. Kevin Alejandro will play Brother Blood. The Suicide Squad will also appear. Bronze Tiger will be a member of that team.

As previously confirmed Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Richards) makes improvements to the "Arrow Cave."

Arrow is going on a journey to take The Hood and transform him into Green Arrow with the help of some "other heroes."

Colton Hayne's is going to go through is own 'Island ordeal' in season 2 to mold him into sidekick material.

Paul Blackthorne's character is now a beat cop. Demotion!

David Ramsey's Diggle will be introduced in the pages of DC Comics and officially become a comic book character.

AJ Kreisberg and Ramsey say they're really proud. "One of the things we're doing this season is we're telling the beginning of the Black Canary story," says Andrew Kreisberg. He says that the first version may not be Laurel but stresses that it's the beginning of that character's story.

The panel closes on Deathstroke talk with show producer Marc Guggenheim saying that the opening moments of the season premiere will clue viewers in on where Manu Bennett's character is headed in Season 2.

Just saw the Comic Con reel and I'm looking forward to the 2nd season more than ever. The hints of Oliver Queen wanting to go by the Green Arrow name and the appearance of Black Canary is making me whet with appetite. Summer Glau is looking great as Isabel Rochev.

Glad to hear that we will have both Brother Blood and Bronze Tiger as among the villains for the 2nd season.

Wow. Excited for this. Colton Haynes in his red hood again - forshadowing. t: The footage is awesome, also note: he's definately got a new bow this season, a bit dissapointed it is a compound though, recurve look so much better shot-wise, imo and I loved the look of his old bow :sad:

I honestly hope that happens. So they keep the new Black Canary character. I just don't care for the actress playing Laurel. I don't think she has what it takes for Black Canary. And what I have seen of her in Supernatural didn't convince me.

I'm real happy that Michael Jai White is playing Bronze Tiger. That's almost perfect casting.

I had often thought that the Diggle character should've been Ben Turner. Glad that they are bringing Tiger to the show though and maybe Suicide Squad as well. Another thing I had thought would've been cool if Diggle had ties to them instead of ARGUS. But I get Diggle and Bronze Tiger next season so it's all good.

I also like the new Black Canary. She just looks and feels more like the comic character. I like Katie but wish they hadn't made her Laurel. I like her character's tangled connection to Oliver but still wish they had kept Canary as someone in his future and used Katie's character as his Lana Lang. That being said, next season I get Katie and a Black Canary too.

I'm really looking forward to next season.
