Oh no of course not people who are 30 generally look like 20 odd year olds. I just think some were expecting these seasoned vets that we were never gonna get.

and supernatural one of the most popular shows on cw sam and dean winchester are played by actors well into their 30's

They all look like grown men of 30 to me, them being good looking guys doesn't mean they look younger and 30 isn't old anyway.

Of course, you do realise that when Supernatural first started, both the lead actors were in their mid-twenties. They're only in their 30s now because the show's been on for years.

But isn't it weird that Diggle has the best six pack in the series! Amell has sort of stepped down from his physical peak in the Season 1 pilot it seems. Its been diminishing returns even from Manu Benett. Watch him in Season 1 of Spartacus, an absolute beast and cut like a mother****er. His physique got progressively worse the series and now has arrived at this.

Arrow has a large male following. The majority is male I would say.

There is nothing wrong with shirtless scenes per se, they are almost like a tradition in superhero films. Every single one has them. It's just that CW base their promotions very heavily on them.

How about Hugh Jackman in The Wolverine? Baring one or two, every single poster had Jackman shirtless flexing his abs to the max. All the promo images, all the posters, etc. etc. But it was somehow acceptable there.

Because Sabretooth, Gambit, Deadpool, and Wraith didn't have shirtless posters. Season 1 just had Oliver shirtless (Its even on the dvd cover) and it was fine but it is different when you have all of the male cast shirtless.

I was talking about the new Wolverine. One from this year. But I get your point.

I dunno. The Wolverine seemed to also use a lot of shirtlessness to promote it. Man of Steel too but somehow they were done okay. CW just pushes things too far it seems. Just pandering to a female audience you could say.

There is some difference. In the case of 300, they were shirtless in the film, so the poster was just representing their actual look. It wasn't parading them for no reason.

In this case, they are doing shirtless posters just for the sake of it it seems.

Well with Oliver being shirtless in season one had a point cuz it was to show his scars and tattoos. But this now is just ridicolus.

I don't think it was seasoned vets people were expecting, just someone that looked like a grown man as opposed to a college kid.

In those 2 cases yes, but the rest of the actors mentioned were not.

I just love how everyone on the main page is getting so butt hurt about these posters. There are posters of half naked chicks everywhere, get over it.
