While I hope that Ollie and Felicity get together at some point (if only to avoid a Clark/Chloe situation with this show), he needs to end up with Sarah.

Now that Caity Lotz has been cast as Black Canary, I could totally dig that, just hope Sarah is the main Black Canary and not Laurel. I Fore see some interesting topics between Sarah and Oliver.

Yeah I suppose, but he also suffered a lot there, maybe he has gone to face some demons as well, it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

The main demon being Slade, I mean the arrow through the mask is still unexplained.

Wow, they are really pimping the Oliver and Felicity relationship in recent promos. I mean they couldn't make it any more obvious that there's a deep interest in putting Oliver and Felicity together rather than continuing on with him and Laurel.

Shippers are a powerful force these days, especially with shows of this nature that aim for the younger demo.

Just have them share one drink too many. And the next morning both realize what happened.

You old romantic! :hrt:

And some more news......

Jimmy Jean-Louis joins "Arrow" as The Captain, a character with ties to a 'mystery' of season 2, Amazo
Since its debut, The CW's superhero drama "Arrow" has made inventive use of the deep bench of DC Comics characters at its disposal. And that approach is one the show will continue to utilize as it enters its sophomore season.

Today, CBR News reveals exclusively that the returning series has cast "Heroes" alum Jimmy Jean-Louis as a mysterious character called "The Captain" for a multi-episode arc. The news follows recent word of actor Dylan Neal debuting in the second season's fifth episode as classic DC Comics villain Dr. Anthony Ivo.

"The Captain is a mysterious and deadly associate of Anthony Ivo," the "Arrow" production team told CBR, "and has a connection to a mystery of Season 2 called the 'Amazo' -- which will be a familiar name to DC Comics fans."

Of course, comic readers know Amazo as the name of the villainous android created by Professor Ivo who can mimic the super powers of the original Justice League -- including Superman, Green Lantern and the soon-to-arrive "Arrow" character The Flash. Since his debut in 1960's "The Brave and the Bold" #30, the Gardner Fox/Murphy Anderson creation has been a constant thorn in the side of the Justice League and the heroes of the DC Universe in general.

But will Jean-Louis -- who "Heroes" watchers will remember as "The Haitian" -- undergo a transformation from The Captain into Amazo on "Arrow?"

Over its first season, the drama proved that even the most recognizable DC COmics characters are often up for gritty realistic twists in the world of Oliver Queen. As executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told CBR at this year's Comic-ConInternational: "I think our best episodes always start with a strong story idea, and then we 'Arrowfy' it -- which is actually a verb we use -- after the fact. That keeps the show grounded in the realistic as opposed to starting with some hyper giant comic villain and trying to wrestle him or her into our world."

Whatever his final form, The Captain joins DCU characters like Bronze Tiger, Amanda Waller and Brother Blood and others as they make the leap from the printed page to the world of live-action television.

This just keeps getting better and better! I can't wait to see the arrowfied version of Amazo!

How is the show going to deal with introducing metahumans? First season was all about no superpowers.

Having watched the stunt featurette on the Blu Ray I was surprised by two things...

That all Arrows in the bow/fired are CGI...

David Ramsey is a trained martial artist...

David Ramsey is a trained martial artist...

Knew about the arrows ( you don't want to shoot a cast member In the knee on set)

Had no idea about Ramsey being a martial artist, just thought he was an actor who worked out.

It was obvious that they did use some CGI with the arrows, but I had assumed that they used prop bows with arrows screwed (or something) to the bow...

There's a comment in the stunt featurette by Bambam that he is a trained martial artist and that when he and Amell are sparring on screen, they are actually sparring rather than looking like they are.

This new villain The Captain and The Amazo stuff is interesting, this show is not resting on it's success.

I wouldn't say it was all about no super powers. It was just that no one with them showed up.

Plus, it was never really established in show that there would be no powers.

No lines or anything to indicate such. So its fine. As long as its not too jarring an inclusion, and that someone with super powers isn't necessarily treated as the norm, it should be okay.

I suspect that part of the no super powers rule is to save on the fx budget. I doubt it will change much.

I remember reading from the creators that there would be no superpowers in Arrow. Thankfully for them though, it was never established in the show itself wether powers exist or not.

I wonder if he'll start off somewhat similar to Marvel's Taskmaster and be able to mimic any move he sees before evolving into mimicking super powers from super powered beings?

Doesn't mean its not going to be a drastic Change. The creators still have to eat their previous words

GA didn't hit his stride in the comics til he lost his fortune and started sticking it to the man anyway. I'm keen to see what happens with the company and his mother.

Started watching Arrow this weekend, finished it in two days. I love it.

From the new promo, it looks like:

Arrow is surrounded by a swat team, wonder how he will get out of that one.

The copycats attack Oliver at queens consolidated.

Shado and Oliver get hot and heavy ( spade might get jealous ;) )

He has a showdown with china white and tiger.

All in all this season looks like its going to rock, I think it will be better than the first season.

My theories:

Either he uses a "trick" arrow (maybe smoke or knockout gas) or someone comes to help him (Black Canary, Diggle, Roy, etc).

Maybe the copycats hold Moira just as responsible for the Undertaking as Malcolm.

Oliver and Shado hooking up was inevitable, both because of their history in the comics and the fact that Oliver seems to bang every women on this show who's not a family member or geriatric. Slade doesn't strike as someone to get jealous over a women. He may disapprove more as a practical matter.

Oliver vs China White and Bronze Tiger will be awesome.

This season looks really cool.
