So I've caught up to episode 5 of S2 so far. I've really been enjoying the show, a lot. It started off a bit slow, but man has it picked up.

However, one thing that kind of bugs me, now with Ras being teased, is exactly how many Batman villains are going to show up on this show? I mean, they're already having Arrow display a lot of the trademark Batman motif's (disappearing when someone looks away etc) and now with one of Batman's biggest villains eventually going to show up, they better have Batman show up at some point.

Also, does anyone know if the rumors about connecting Arrow to the movieverse are true?

I think the disappearing thing is an every super hero thing, not just Batman.

Well, first it was the Shadow, then it was a Batman thing. So no, it's not really an every hero thing.

I don't mind it that much though, because Green Arrow has always been a bit of Batman ripoff, even when he was first created in the comics that was a criticism. Still, I'm just more concerned about them bringing in one of Batman's main villains. I'd really like them to have Batman show up at some point if Ra's is going to be a major player.

I've read on here that the producers said it doesn't take place in the movieverse but I haven't read it in an actual article.

Clark disappeared on Smallville all the time.

Yes....and Batman's been doing it in the comics for 50 plus years. Which is my point, they're taking from Batman motif's.

But, to be fair, Batman stole it from The Shadow.

:whatever:

You have any evidence that the umpteenth-billion times this trope has been used in all media and literature across the past century (and even older) have all been derived from The Shadow and/or Batman?

I love how they are adding Ra's daughter without it being Talia and ruining the feeling that this show is in the same universe as the Dark Knight trilogy.

I really believe that this is the best way to go.

It is. There's more leeway with Nyssa that there wouldn't be with Talia. I hope she's the highest they'll take it as far as Al Ghul family members making appearances.

I have a feeling we may see Talia during the season finale. I seriously doubt we will get Ra's this season he'll just be spoken of. But I can see him making an appearance once this show and Flash are expanded and we get a larger DC universe.

why are they trying to make count vertigo into an over the top version of the joker?

Amell teased that this would be a jaw dropping ending, and boy was it. :wow:

And I liked how it wasn't overly hyped as jaw dropping episode.Yeah Amell teased something but noone was expecting this.

you guys are making me extremely excited. If i am disappointed i am going to Episode 9 Dark archer your asses.

Man if that was indeed Cyrus as in Solomon Grundy at the end I hope the drug eventually starts to deteriorate and he slowly changes into his "undead" look. :D

I'm not sure this show would do "zombies". They seem to be very careful about how they intro the supernatural/fantasy.

Well not directly a zombie but something that resembles or pays homage to the comic Grundy. Maybe the drug could mess up his brain and with it his intelligence...?:woot:

Yowzers! What an episode! This show is by far the best superhero show of all time. Let's see: Merlyn, Deathstroke, Solomon Grundy, Lazarus pit? (the drugs in question), Brother Blood, and next week's The Flash? Wow.

Now let's get some confirmation that Arrow connects to Man of Steel and I think DC is in a hella good place.

Like most have been saying... We need an episode where everything goes dark and it says "You Are Not Alone."

I don't think the internet would be able to handle that awesomeness. :D

This was all before the introduction of Powers like The Flash....this was during season 1. Now anything is possible..

I expected that Merlyn was alive. If Deadshot survived his injuries in episode 3 or season 1, then Merlyn could have surprised his injuries. Him being Thea's father, that WAS surprising. Thea really is this shows version of Emiko LaCroix.
