I doubt he will.

Detective Lance, on the other hand? He came into the show with the expiration date.

He wishes he could live with his mother. :o

Interesting last episode. I wonder if they could do 22 episodes a season justice. Would have liked more like 13 episodes, maybe?

I thought the bodyguard would eventually find out but didn't really expect it to be in the third episode.

The bodyguard is pretty interesting actually. John, you say, huh? Black guy. Oh. Ex- military. Umm. Could eventually be Green Arrow's friend.
Pretty random, I know, but who else does it sound like? :hal:

I'd like to see Green Arrow face off against a villain with full on super powers...like, towards the end of the season. That would really show off his skills. I just wish they would call the character by it's name. It's easy...have the newspapers name him Green Arrow and Ollie is fine with it...everyone then starts calling him the Green Arrow.

I am enjoying this show and its tone but I feel its just too early for him to start revealing who he is to people.

Yeah. That's 6th episode stuff.

He wishes he could live with his mother. :o

That's low :o

Xena was the first thing that popped into my head too. And super strength is easy to pull off, as you said. Throw in mythological beasts from the Xena show, make fights as exciting as Clark vs Titan from Smallville, throw in a dash of Supernatural or Buffy, with all the magic mumbo jumbo and you're pretty much good to go.

Mythological beasts wasn't Xena's thing, that was Hercules. Xena mainly fought warlords.

You can watch episodes on cw website after they air on tv.

I know there's ways to watch it but I like to watch it on my TV. I just want an Arrow section so we can discuss and vote on each individual episode without been spoiled.

Yeah, considering this site gave us a Wonder Woman section when that was announced, it's surprising that we don't have a section for a show that just got picked up for a full season.

I've emailed admin to ask if we can have one

I'm glad that they let Dig in on the secret early, rather than later.

It begs the question though,Dig being a capable ex-military bodyguard, why doesn't he suit himself up and go out there with Ollie in the future?

The thing that bugs me the most is that they're still calling him "the hood".It's bad enough to drop the "Green",but at least call him Arrow.

Shades of "The Blur".*shudder*Embrace the name,CW! :argh:

He protects the whole family.

He will probably also find it too "goofy".

But the Tech department chick was way over the top. I know it's a CW show and all, but she looked like a supermodel, come on..

what supermodels do you look at?

Did anyone else get a look at Deadshot's tattoos? I noticed that one of them was "Andrew Diggle" in what I assume was a reference to Andy Diggle who wrote Green Arrow: Year One. I noticed it too late to get a look at any of the other names. Did anyone notice any other comic writer/artist names?

If I watch it again I'll give it a better look. I also missed the first 15 minutes or so because CW was having audio issues. There was music and background noise for the the first 15 minutes but no dialogue.

There's a reason for this: Comic Book Movies Don't Use Codenames

Basically, the crux is that superhero codenames are very often seen as too 'campy' or 'superhero-esque' by today's standards and can potentially prevent viewers from taking the show seriously or worse, be an outright turnoff. Meaning, using the superhero codename for the wrong character can actually, directly harm the success of a superhero show/movie.

Moreover, even if they do decide to formally bestow the superhero codename to Ollie, I reckon they would wait for a significant moment in the show's timeline; e.g. the season 1 finale or some such.

Because does he have a reason to? I mean, one doesn't just do this just for the hell of it (at least, not normally). With Ollie, he's running around with a hood and spray-painted mask to right the wrongs his father was a part of. Why would Diggs do the same?

As for Diggs finding out Ollie's secret so early, I like it too; rather than having it stretched out over several episodes. Maybe it's just because it's still the early few episodes. However, I hope they keep the pace fast and have the twists coming one after another a la TVD.

P.S.: Anyone wonder how they will show Thea in pre-island flashbacks? That time period has too much story potential to never explore. With Ollie, we know they just kept with the same actor but with a different hairstyle. However, the same technique wouldn't work for Thea as she's 17 now and would be 12 below in flashbacks. But on the other hand, using a different actress for her, while keeping everyone else the same, would seem just as weird and out-of-place...

china white's origin was in the latest digital chapter with great art.

It shouldn't be for awhile, he needs to serve the Alfred/Lucius Fox role. Plus it should cut down on those laughable voice overs.

Yeah, Diggs knowing is a major positive, for the cut down on narration alone. :woot:

Pick your battles dude. This can't possibly be what's important to you.

Anyways I was watching the show with my lady friend and I gotta say the part that had her most engaged was the love triangle reveal. I've heard the CW quotient of the show is it's down fall but I gotta say, it may be what's keeping the ratings going. There is a huge audience for that stuff.

Why does it seem like Dinah is going to fall for Arrow with Oliver pining for her in the background. Then Tommy will become jealous and turn evil, possibly his arch nemesis.

Deadshot's wrist guns were awesome.

Surprise, Diggle knows Oliver is Green Arrow.. I mean Arrow..I mean "The Hood"... what's his name? lol

Great action as usual. This was a good episode.
