...So, I gotta ask, anyone else think this should have been 'Bat' instead of 'Arrow' or is it just me?
Who did you PM?
There's nothing wrong with strong female character...the problem is that Arrow doesn't seem to have any at the moment. They're all just cookie-cutter cut-outs: Dinah (and I will only refer to her by that name) is never actually shown doing any real work, though she and her sassy friend certainly talk about it, and she of course is an expert martial artist. Ollie's sister is a teen with an attitude, although her character seems to have far more growing potential.I don't watch the show but that sounds like how two guys would talk when hanging out which is why probably you and other guys who watch the show can relate and not find it dull. The drama focus in Arrow is skewed from the side of the girls issues with Ollie, he so far has mostly just said sorry and looked lost for words in his interaction with them.
Unlike many on this forum I have no problem with strong female characters and I'd like to think Thea and Laurel will develop beyond their petulant and bitter phases respectively.
Laurel is a lawyer and I'd like to see her involved in the Arrow parts of the show, approaching the people he is going after from the angle of the law, to this point it might have been better if she was an investigator for the DA's office instead of a legal aid worker.
With Thea I know the fanboys want comic accurate Speedy, but I very much doubt they kill Thea off and given what the actress has said the best shot of Thea getting over her emotional hump is to join Ollie in his fight. I actually felt they regressed her this week after the good scenes with her and Ollie last week.

this would be awesome
I know, am really hoping they let us.

Something that always bugs me about Batman stories/this show is that any of the "evidence" that Ollie gives to the cops is completely inadmissible in a court. The recording from last episode, the laptop from this one...those are useless to the cops because they weren't lawfully obtained.

For me I am not really interested in the bringing in all comic elements and killing his family members just to fit into the mold. I say this because Green Arrow has only had a handful of good comics.
Giving him a family brings a unique dynamic that very few heroes have.
