Assassins Creed 2

Altair because he was a master assassin. Ezio was a noob.

Altair didnt come out of the womb with a hidden blade attached to his wrist ya know. Im sure he had to go through training just like Ezio. Id also assume Altair started far earlier than Ezio, but i dont have any evidence to support that.

Assassins Creed 3 to star Ezio

Ubisoft Montreal working on title; Game will 'follow-up' on AC2 story

Ubisoft's new Assassin's Creed game (which we're taking a punt on being AC3) will again star Italian hero Ezio, Ubisoft has confirmed - and will be created by the same studios behind AC2.

The publisher today revealed that the story of the game will be a "follow-up" to AC2.

CVG reported yesterday that Ubisoft was hard at work on a sequel, which the company is due to release before March 2011. A Christmas release is looking likely.

"We have a new Assassin's Creed that we expect will be a very high quality product that as well as an offline complement will have a multiplayer component," Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said today.

"It is the same studios because it's not only one studio creating the game, but an association of studios and they are working together to make it happen."

A fellow Ubisoft spokesman then added: "The game will take place with the same hero, which is Ezio, and will follow-up the story that took place in Assassin's Creed 2."

Guillemot confirmed the game would be sold at a "full price point".

The majority of AC2 was developed by Ubisoft Montreal.

Yeah but Altair was a master assassin all of AC1. I don't think Ezio got to that level by the end of AC2.

Assassins Creed 3? I read that this was standalone episode of AC2. I dont think it will be AC3

Yeah, I don't think it's going to be the "real" AC3. Seems more like an AC2.5. Which I don't mind because I liked Ezio and the setting.

Nah, it's been confirmed that it's not DLC.

Although, I'll believe it when I see alot more.

But, the word is that it is in fact a disc sequel. Decemeber 2011 does seem plausible for a sequel to me, though.

Multiplayer sounds like a bad idea to me, though. I don't know, aside from races, how they can make a fun Assassin's Creed multiplayer.

God...why does EVERYTHING need to have multiplayer?? Bioshock getting MP is another that doesn't make sense to me.

I didnt say DLC; I said standalone episode. Like Spidey-bat said, it will be more of a AC 2.5 with the actual 3rd sequel coming at some later time. I believe it will be sort of like Half Life 2: Episode One and Two

Gamasutra reports that Ubisoft has said it's an "entirely new game". And at full price...it's gotta be more than an episode, I think. If it is a .5, they're going to need to do alot of work convincing people it's an AC3, or people won't pay full price...or worse, label it a failure for not matching up to AC2.

well thats open for interpretation bc Ubisoft specifically didnt use numbering to describe it. They used the term " new episode"

Yeah. CVG named it AC3. I see it more being a spin-off like AC: Bloodline. It may be something like the GTA4 episodes.

What will make it the real AC3 is if they continue the story of Desmond. But since it's saying it will star Ezio, I think that may mean it's just about him so it's really just a spin-off.

That could work.

They're better off calling it a spin-off, than episode. It brings to mind a $20 content for most gamers right now.

And, if it is a spin-off...maybe we'll get an Altaïr spin-off too way down the road.

Whose working on the game? If its the exact same people who were behind ACI and ACII, then that would lead me to believe that this is in fact the next, full fledged AC game. If this dev team are the ones behind ACI and ACII, how are they going to have time to put out AC 2.5 and then release AC III? Assassins Creed III should, if going by the titles history, be out holiday of 2011. The first one came out in 07, followed by its sequel in 09 which would put the third one on pace for holiday 2011. Guess theyll give us the 2.5 to hold us over until the actual 3rd game comes out?

damn I was hoping AC3 would be set in Colonial America where the Templars also played a big role. Or at least that's what Nicholas Cage tells me. ;)

A Colonial America setting would be boring. What would there be to climb around on? Just some short buildings and some church steeples. French Revolution or Victorian England would be best.

I vote for England. Id love to see them handle London.

Should be interesting to learn who's working on this. ACII has a massive team, too. Like 500 or 600 people worked on Assassin's Creed 2.

I'd love to assassinate Jack the Ripper.

Same studios.

I could go for that. Also between memory sequences they need to show more of Desmond and Lucy. They seemed alitte missing in AC2. Personally I'd love to see a part of the game showing Desmond is full assassin gear running around a modern day city.

I would like to see more of both Ezio & Altair in the next game, I honestly don't think a game entirely set in modern times would really capture what has made this series so popular to begin with.. unless of course they have him try to absorb the memories of a more modern assassin, but I wouldn't give him that many gun capabilites.. more stealth, small blades & weapon disarming skills.

Can't wait, I only need to complete finding the feathers to finish AC2..I'm at like 93%. However finding them is pretty boring...even with a map at hand.

I would love to see the American Revolution, French Revolution, World War I or II. World War II being the easiest to pull off story wise as many Germans citizens said after the war when asked why they followed such a mad man. Many of those citizens often said that when Hitler spoke it was as if they were in a trance from his words which fits in with the whole apple thing. The other fact that Hitler supposedly committed suicide is another thing.
