I've accepted that my opinion means nothing on this forum, so I voted with what choices were available.

If I vote against the 'separate' forum then it looks like I'm against it. Which I'm not. I truly would like to have a trivia forum, with a few tweeks.

I mentioned in the Thread on CS! That I thought it would be silly not having post counts be applicable in the 'spam' forum. They'll just go somewhere else to get their 'fix' as it were.

However, I also recognize that it would cheapen the value of 'rewards' like titles and various sized avatars.

Both sides have valid points, I prefer to go with allowing posts counts. If it doesn't stem the tide you can always remove the ability for posts to count in that forum.

That's my two cents.

posts counts are cool.. so putting the 'spam' threads in their own forum will eliminate the crap and work you guys do on a daily and weekly basis. that being said.. i cant belive you made Dog Lips a mod

Sorry, I had misread the statement.

Well, for right now, this is still all just an idea. Post counts being affected by this forum could or couldn't change from now until it happens. Of course, Mirko has the last say, but for the most part, that's why posting in here is encouraged, so we can get a feel for what's what and where.

how about Option 3? You make it so that good posters, who have no history of trolling whatsoever, who even lurk more than they post, who have been around since almost day 1, don't get banned and lose everything, for something they didn't even do.

At this point, I'm just waiting on Mirko. I had already tested the skin on another site and it looked good, and all the buttons and icons look fine to me, for the most part.

I don't know if I agree with this. Not all new people make bad threads. Changing it to 10 to get rid of the bot spammers is good enough in my book.

True, I am in chat threads quite a bit, but it is because of those threads that folks in the X forums know me fairly well. I don't post randomly and I don't troll. I have never been warned or banned on this site. I understand about threads like Love it/Hate it and all that, but I disagree with the idea of dumping chat threads in there. They do serve a purpose. They bring us closer togther and build that sense of Community. Another reason my post count is so high is that I work part time and have killed a great many hours here. I have more time to post here than most of you other folks. That doesn't make me a spammer.

Hey! The lounge isn't a garbage thread or a spam thread, at least not for most of us. Not everyone goes in there and says stupid crap just to get a post count. The lounge is a way for us to get to know each other without cluttering up other threads and getting them off track. Closing or moving the lounge would have an immediate effect -- folks are just going to clutter up other threads instead and there will be even more complaining.

i didnt say it was any of those things. i just said i hate it (and you) and that it's not really "community forum material." cuz it's not...it's "sucky new forum material" ps - wasnt there a pretty prominant squeeky-type named person back in 2003 or so? was that you? cuz if so, you were cooler back then.

in all seriousness, i think the very best thing for this place would be to, yes, get rid of garbage threads, but also chill the **** out with the restrictions. you sign up, you get an avatar, you get a sig, you get the title. maybe make a bigger avatar for a time limit/post count, but no more than one step. seriously, wtf is this a message board or the boy scouts?

I read a lot of comics and have posted plenty there, but mostly I was very active in the X3 forums. Believe me, there are folks who have a much higher daily average than me around these parts.
