Yes she is indeed very different from Aang, and I like that whenever she feels herself to be in real danger or when she is really angry in combat, fire seems to be her main element.

I'm going mad simply wondering who Lin's father is, what Zuko's daughter looks like and where the heck the other minor characters went (Haru, Teo, The Duke, Ty Lee)

I would love to know that happened to Ty Lee, she was one of my favorites on the original show.

Like I said this whole airbending is a complete minor gripe, This show is so good, I need something to not be happy with lol.

I do like her using her other elements as a 'shock and awe' tactic against unsuspecting opponents. I guess it comes down to she is the Avatar, she is at the air temple island, and in 8 episodes, we've seen once where she was even attempting anything air-bending related. Might as well of just put her up in a hotel in Republic City than having her 'sneak away' to Air Temple Island to "Learn airbending" lol.

Oh well.

We've seen her train a few times throughout the series; I just re-watched episode 3 and 4 again and she is working on her aribending movements, through the turning shades, and forms.

yeah, I've mentioned those at various times, I dunno, just want more I guess.

Anyways, after watching that second clip..wow. Tarrlok has more than a screw loose. I wonder if how long Tenzin will buy the schtick, if at all.

I don't agree that Korra wouldn't be able to use airbending effectively. I've seen her get blind sided and knocked on her butt way more than Aang ever did, and guess why? So, a lil airbending is useful for avoiding attacks, and that's how I think she'll use it.

Airbenders are basically pacifist monks in the show. Naturally they're bending would be used to avoid confrontations or deflecting attacks.

Aang had the benefit of fighting with a style no one had seen in a 100 years. He had the advantage of surprise. It's all a matter of personality I guess. Korra would probably use Airbending with aggression.

Also, Korra "gets knocked on her butt" because she isn't fighting people who want to capture her like Zuko who in the first season wasn't at his best. The Chi Blockers, Tarrlok...they mean business.

Doesn't surprise me. I will just wait and see if it shows up on the place I use to view this show, among others.

Why ruin the anticipation? Better just wait and watch it in GLORIOUS HD.

Why cant waterbenders, like bloodbenders, control the water in peoples bodies?

Aren't bloodbenders already waterbenders, just like how metalbenders are already earthbenders.

Well if we want to get into the super specifics, if your strong enough to manipulate the water in the blood you should be strong enough to manipulate just the water. I'm mean ripping the water straight from someone's body can be a pretty gruesome scene.

I dont know I never really watched the original series so I just jumped on for Korra.

Bloodbending is a Waterbending advanced ability.
Metalbending is a Earthbending advanced ability.
Creating and redirecting lightning is Firebendings ability.

They haven't said what Airbending advanced ability is yet but most speculate it being using sound in some way or another.

Wasn't that Energybending?

Oh I still watch it in HD whether I cave and watch a leaked first or not. This show is so good, anticipation isn't ruined no matter how many times I watch it lol

I'd just like to point out, for people not familiar with the original series, that Metalbending is only possible because most metals have impurities and have native "earth" mixed in with the metal ore.

This is the reason why the particular metal that the mechs in this show have can't be controlled by Metalbenders--the metal used is pure metal ore with little to no impurity.

Yeah, because of that, I'm looking forward to Korra and Mako hopefully combining firepower and melting one or more of those mechs right where they stand.

Same as every other week. Saturday 11am. In the US at least.
