That was one of the best fights of the show if you ask me.

You know Kya really should've tried to use what's her names water arms against her. Probably takes a lot of concentration to keep it up.

It depends. We don't think about it anymore when we move our own arms, especially as a reflex.

It might be that way with her and her water limbs.

Seeing Tenzin kick Zaheer's ass was so awesome, first time fighting a true air bending master, eh? :o

Basically. If it wasn't for his punk ass, cheating friends Zaheer would have gotten beat. I do wonder how things will go once Korra and crew get to the Air Temple. Tenzin is really the only person to be able to hang with the Red Lotus gang, so they really need to come up with a great plan to beat them. Too bad that Sokka, the king of all plans and pimp extraordinaire, is dead.

I mean they'll have Lin, Su, and Tonraq, so that'll even things up a little. And Kai is still out there, he'll be a wild card.

Something will have to give though. Very interested in how this will play out.

I hope this series doesn't end on a cliffhanger, and that we indeed get book four.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but is she a bit fishy to anyone else? Her reaction when she learned about Aiwei was odd. I'm bettin she's a part of the Red Lotus

Season 4 is already half way through production and they already confirmed s4.

This was a very strong episode. The fights were great, [BLACKOUT]I mean, I loved Bumi's hair pulling. :woot:[/BLACKOUT] and the chaos of the fall of the Earth Kingdom Capitol was a great sequence. Bolin and Mako's family meeting Asami and Korra was funny. And of course the icing on the cake was [BLACKOUT]getting to see Iroh again in the Spirit World.[/BLACKOUT]

This has been a fun, action packed season. But does anyone else agree with me that it's not been great in terms of moving the characters forward all that much? I'm not saying the writing has been bad, just that the season was very plot heavy, with fewer moments of character building or revelations than Book one or two?

It's complicated. Cause on one hand, Tenzin has gotten a lot of growth this season, along with Jinora, and even Kai.

Korra herself hasn't, which I think is fine. She grew in the first episode or two, but she's been consistent throughout so I don't mind.

I think with this season it's the little moment and character advancements we'll remember. Bolin and Mako getting their family, Asami being awesome and saving the day in "Long Live The Queen", and so on and so forth.

Obviously we still have two episodes left, so something else may happen for all we know!

As for Su? I'm 50-50. True, she could turn on them in the end. But I don't think she'd risk Opal's safety. If she gets her within her reach she could pull a 180, but that doesn't mean her fleet will. And IF she does, oh man what Lin will do to her.

We'll just have to see won't we?

I agree that the smaller moments have indeed been memorable and that generally the writing of character interactions has been strong, but things feel a little stagnant as well. Korra mentions not having access to the other Avatars and that perhaps should have been a bigger part of things this season as it should affect her as both a person and in her role as the Avatar. We've also just been circling the airport when it comes to relationships. Sure, we got Asami and Korra talking a little about how Mako acts around them both, but that's been as far as it goes. Again, not saying this ruins things, but it is kind of odd that the show has been so weighted towards plot with the few moments of character stuff being about Tenzin and Lin ect.

I suspected Su as part of the Red Lotus, when she mentioned that the concept of Queens is outdated and she sent Korra on her way to retrieve Aiwei. She was certainly going to run into Zaheer, and did Su honestly think nothing would happen?

I'm not sure I totally buy the Su theory yet. But... Aiwei being trapped in lost in the Spirit World does seem interesting plot wise. Why do that? Is it because he would have been a link to Su as part of the Red Lotus?

I'm not saying I'm absolutely certain that Su is part of the Lotus, but they dropped enough hints, for it to be a possibility. And I wouldn't be completely surprised if it turns out she's part of it. Might also explain why she built her own city, that can be closed down completely. In a world thrown into complete anarchy, that's the safest city on Earth.

I doubt Su Yin is part of the Red Lotus given how much she has worked against them, stopping the Red Lotus attack on Korra, and helping Aiwei get tracked down, none of which really helped the Red Lotus, at least in a way that could have been foreseen.

No, Su Yin is the counterpart to the Red Lotus. She is progressive, forward thinking and revolutionary in her thinking, but she wishes to enact change more peacefully while still aggressively. The Red Lotus, much like Amon, represent the dangers of radical revolutionaries, while Su Yin is there to show that the status quo is not necessarily preferable either.

Man, that was an intense battle. Never thought an airbending fight could look so awesome. Tenzin went all out and definitely would have won. I didn't like the line about" as long as I have breath, I'll fight." I just knew that would be the end of him. Hopefully he survives.

As far as the Su is Red Lotus theories, I don't see it. Sure she's not your status quo leader but she was raised by Toph. I don't see her being mixed up w/ any of this.

So is it the "Earth Republic" now?

My only complaint was how Zaheer suddenly threatened the lives of the Airbenders after he specifically said he hated the fact that Sozin nearly drove them to extinction. It seemed like a cheap way to make him "the villain" again and to antagonize Korra.

Dat Tenzin fight, though. This fight was pretty much everything I ever wanted in an airbender/airbender fight.

Zaheer threatened the airbenders for the sole purpose of getting Korra. It's a means to an end for him.

And he said himself if they didn't resist they would be fine. He knew that Korra would come if he threatened them.

So I'm not the only one who its occurred to that Su could be Red Lotus? I doubt it but she has acted kinda suspiciously at times

I'm actually kinda hoping that it does end on a cliffhanger. The Red Lotus is such a big adversary that I don't think it can simply be put down in the next two episodes. I mean just because you take down Zaheer and his gang doesn't mean the entire organization is destroyed.

Also since Bryan and Mike got the go ahead to make Books 3 and 4 at the same time allowed them to craft a plot that extends through both books.

I doubt he was going to do anything to the Air Benders...the young ones at least. He revered the culture too much to end them all. It was just a bluff to get Korra to Air Temple as fast as possible. As he said "I am tired of chasing Korra."

Her reaction to Aiwei's escaping made her suspicious for me.

Yea, I kind of want them to end it with a cliff hanger. I feel like this is going way too fast with a lot of unanswered questions. How exactly did the convergence give people bending? The 4 villains' backgrounds especially Zaheer. He can do all these amazing things for a former non-bender.
