This sucks. What's the point of playing or trying to get any new heroes if this won't exist soon? At least if they left it up and running it would be different. I did wonder if it would be the end with the massive gold giveaway.

Agree it sucks. This is the second Facebook game I've played that is ending, so I'm kinda sad. At least it will give me some time for console gaming. Maybe.

Honestly given they are being shutdown I wish they'd just go all out and let us recruit all the 'banned' characters. I mean what is Disney going to do? They've already pulled the plug, corporate policy has no meaning or threat anymore.

Doesn't feel like much point in playing. I never even managed to recruit everyone or get all the alt uniforms.

I think this was probably the last FB game I play because companies seem to be moving away from them and going solely into mobile gaming, which has severely reduced the number and quality of games on FB.

This is apparently being removed from mobile as well.

So a Avengers Alliance won't exist in any form. But even old arcade games from the 1980s exist in some form even on the Internet somewhere. I can't believe it would just completely disappear like that.

Technically speaking there is no reason it couldn't just be put elsewhere and made free to play as is with no new updates, just letting the coummunity maintain the website.

The only thing stopping that, is again, corporate law.

Disney would much rather everything about the game disappear forever than get free unpaid publicity by having people continue to play the game and manage it themselves.

Honestly given Disney has the ban in place for X-men and Fantastic Four I don't know I'll bother with any new games they have. It always feels like diet Marvel.

that said it's ironic how similar this and Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes ended, a rushed out of nowhere cancellation at the end of the second season with dozens of dangling plot thread never to be answered. All because of stupid corporate decision makers.

It's probably happening because Disney no longer wants to support a 4-year old game that has limited earning potential for them (i.e. no download fees) and likely keeps players from joining any of their newer games. Almost have to wonder if the failures of MAA Tactics and MAA 2 played a big role in them just cancelling every MAA game on every platform. It's almost like they think that if there's no more Marvel game like MAA for a bit, then players will come rushing right back to get their Marvel fix if a new one comes out in the future. They likely won't because of how poorly MAA has been supported since Disney bought Playdom in 2014.

I am. Couldn't live with myself if I gave up and didn't get the last heroes.

If it ends, i can at least let it end knowing I got every hero in the game.

Glad I got to enjoy Songbird while I could. Phyla seems fun too, even though I only have her at lvl 1 because I was doing 48 hour training before i heard the awful news...

Why does Phyla have to be 200 CP? She was not an SO hero but a PVP. Why not just show some goodwill and release her for 135 or even 90 CP?

Oh, they released her already? I guess I'll have to get her now.

Also, all the lockboxes are on sale, but not bundle style. I guess I'll try and get Magneto and Elektra to start, but I don't think I'll have enough gold to get all 8.

It is kind of, but if I am gonna play anyway, what else am I gonna do with my 800 gold and my 800 CPs. Plus I've waited so long.

Not sure if I could get into Marvel Heroes since it's been going on 3 years already (meaning a lot of catching up) and the mechanics don't look as fun or as easy as MAA. Until we get another Marvel game that I can get started with at the ground level and think will last a good period of time, my only connection to Marvel will be through the MCU films.

Well used gold to just complete every spec ops task. given the reward for half of them is 50 more gold it seems that's what Playdom wanted.

Will try leveling up Adam as fast as I can and playthrough the spec ops for story once.

Then just have fun with the characters while I still can...

I lost count, i stated with 50 gold, by the end of the spec ops I had 200 or something gold left. So you will definitely get more gold than you lose spending

I'm sure tactic played a role. MMA 2 but truth be told they should have started looking at console and pc ports instead from the jump. MMA 2 shouldn't have been a frailer. it's that they chose the venue twice.

then again with tactic's disny should have went to to the Xcom maker's called FireAxis or klie for it put that on console's and pc with mobile .

and we know what killed those two games . while avengers allience was fun and alot people stayed away cause of this fact of what kept people away was if they stopped playing for a certain amount of time it was hard to keep up and some people couldn't justify to them selves paying real world money to keep up

that latter part was what made thsoe two a failer.

Well as I said I bought whiter Tiger last night I'll try and go for adam and Phyla. and I agree with you that Phyla should cost less then 200.

I heard this from one of sisters that petitions are being made. I don't know if that do much .

Anyway there's still marvel heroes contest of champions(which still has X-men next to marvel heroes still being added )and future fight.
