Agreed, any substantial reboot that only affects one corner of the MU will complicate things even more. I think things can be fixed if Marvel as a whole slows the hell down with all these events and two BRING BACK THE X- gene! Seriously, I thought it would have been back at least two or so events ago, but nothing. It's killing the X-books and it's such a limiting editorial mandate...blah.

The x-gene should've come back during Second Coming, but after nothing happened with this event, I think it's fairly obvious nobody at Marvel has any plans to ever bring it back.

And I know a reboot for just the X-Men would only complicate things (god knows Spider-Man's did, and he's only one guy instead of an entire subspecies), but I've just become so frustrated with what the X-Men comics have become since House of M. As always, I blame Bendis and Mike Marts.

It's not like the mutant population is instantly going to shoot back up.

Sorry. What I meant was that I expected depowered mutants to be repowered. Reducing the worldwide mutant population from around 15 million (which would be a minority group in the US alone-- around the size of the Asian-American population) to 200 was just plain absurd. The X-Men can't seem to find an overall goal other than "survive and do heroic things I guess," which is a major step down from the cultural group mutants were slowly becoming during Morrison's run.

I think it was Austen who had Iceman reconstituting himself from any moisture nearby. I recall Havok holding his iced up head and having to pee Iceman a new body lol.

Alex never peed on Bobby. He made a joke about that but he never did it. Bobby reconstituted his body by sucking one of Azrael's minions dry

In Remender's Uncanny X-Force. It was a fantastic story and he made for a pretty cool villain. I'm hoping that wasn't the last we see of him.

Yeah and Remender killed him off months ago. Im asking did he bring him back from the dead bc as of the last issue I read (right after Psylocke [blackout]stabbed herself[/blackout], he was nowhere in sight

That's why I don't think we've seen the last of him. For now he's dead but Remender left it so he could just as easily be brought back.

I f***ing hate the fact that Tony's talking about faith and spiritual power and magic like they're new when Thor is standing right goddamn next to him. It makes literally zero sense that Thor's not more effective against the Phoenix if magic + science are its Achilles heel, since Thor has always wielded both magic and cosmic power. I know it's just one more thing among many to chalk up on the board of things that make no sense in this event, but it bothers me for obvious reasons.

After almost 6 months of him being made out to look like a complete loser, getting knocked around in every other issue, why wouldnt Tony talk that way in front of Thor? Its not like Thor's been of any real use this entire story
