Batman: Arkham Origins - Part 7

Didn't stop it from being the easiest one of the three

Because the action is sped up in Origins, the enemies attack faster too. They are also really aggressive, so you have to counter often.

I hated that, When I'm on a roll I like to keep going then just guy punches me my combo is lost I hate pressing evade to keep my combo going.

Where is the fun when enemies don't put up a fight?

Exactly. I loved the tougher thug fights in AO.

Then don't? You just have to adjust to the new rhythm. Which also means countering more often than you had to in Asylum and City.

Finally platinumed this game last night. That thing they call multiplayer is so broken it's unacceptable. Last Saturday I was in a group of people helping each other get the tough MP trophies and I counted 3 system freezes and more than 2 dozen lobby kicks and hangs. The main game was fine for me although it had some few technical issues here and there I enjoyed it but the multiplayer really tested my patience. I almost lost it a few nights ago true story.

The problem for me was I'd time the counters just fine, but it felt like sometimes the game wouldn't accept it. I felt like 75% of the time I'd counter just fine, but many times it wouldn't register and then wouldn't accept the counter again until I'd get hit a couple of times from some close thugs.

The combat wasn't as accurate and clean as AC. I had so many moments where I screamed "I countered that!" or "I wasn't going for that a**hole!". I think my least favorite moments are taking a bat to the head from someone just off-screen.

I never encountered that counter problem. If I didn't counter correctly, it was always because I was too caught up in the fight with someone else, or because I did something else stupid.

I recently played the DLC challenge maps, where you have dozens of Ninjas coming at you with weapons, and the martial artists that counter you as well and require you to double tab to counter their hard hits, and it worked every time.

I had that counter problem.

AO is where I significantly improved my combat. I'm not sure if that was because it has better combat than AC or because it put more emphasis on the combat and thus forced me to get better. After playing AO, I went back to AA and AC and I actually got awards this time. lol

haha yeah after playing AO I played City and my word is the combat easy how. I guess it makes sense, I mean, AC Batman has been beating thugs for what, 8 years? So it would be easy for him.
I also liked in Origins how he would actually take fighting stance when engaged in combat, just shows that he's a "rookie"

So I heard about the glitch issues but i honestly thought a patch was released to fix them? These glitches are really affecting my gameplay enjoyment, I just had to restart my game after being stuck in the "fast travel" mode screen for 5 minutes and there were a bunch of other stuff i've dealth with.

This is really amateur stuff tbh for this caliber of title.

My first time jumping back into single player to scan Anarky tags gave me the stuck at fast travel screen and I had to restart as well. Wasn't a good way to come back to the game :funny:

The camera angles and untidy combat were my most difficult enemies in AO >_>

That framerate was painfully bad at times (and I usually never complain over framerate) but I went to near slow motion maybe 2 times. Once on the city ground with about 20 enemies. I wish PS3 had the share button function so I could have recorded it :funny:

Another big reason I'm looking forward to Arkham Knight is because of that next gen upgrade which will be huge when looking back at Origins.

I had the problem of Batman not countering in AO only twice while fighting Deathstroke
I really had that problem of counter in Arkham Asylum (both on PC and on PS3)

I wonder if Azreal will return since he foretold Batman that Gotham was going to burn in Arkham. City

He's Arkham knight

I never once had a problem with combat in AO. I loved that it was faster and the thugs don't wait around as well as new challenging thugs thus much harder. AC was waaaay too easy. I blew through those challenge maps, average like 40,000 above the 3 star rating easily on each map. AO not at all, they make you work. Without a doubt it requires the most "skill" ,for lack of better words, out of any of the Arkham games.

That's a maybe
No one believes the "Arkham Knight is a new character" bit, maybe developers trolled fans for too long?

Am I the only who found Arkham Origins to be overall the easiest? At least on the Normal game, didn't try the New Game+

I always wanted to bring this up, but did anyone chuckle a bit at Bruce's response to Alfred's speech?

"Alfred, who do you see when you look at me? The boy whose shoes you used to tie every morning? The teenager you drove to his first date?"

My immediate reaction to that was "What? Bruce actually had a life as a teen? :wow:" :funny:

Whoa. Thats pretty crazy looking. I almost forgot about the Origins DLC with all the excitement around Arkham Knight.

The suit is completely different to what I was expecting. He's bulky. I need a clearer look.
