It was after that though that he was talking about a graceful and cool way to segue outI keep coming back to this, after rumours that he didn't want to be Batman, Affleck said this:

I think he still wants to be Batman, I think he was annoyed about the changes to JL, but I don't think he's any less fond of the character.
I have no idea what Reeves wants, but I think Affleck wants to be a part of Batman films.
Oh will you stop already
If Ben Affleck is out, its because he chose to leave. How many times must that point be driven home?

Bucko?
Well now youve just simply crossed the line. We must battle now.
Just a hunch based on the recent rumors and developments. They're moving forward with the Phoenix Joker movie, there's the rumor that Reeves' Batman isn't part of the DCEU, the Mark Hughes rumor of The Batman being in the same universe as the Phoenix film, the DCEU Letoker film being actively developed along with SS2 and BOP, the rumors of Hamada wanting Affleck to stay, the rumors of Affleck wanting to stay....
My take is this: Marvel showed Thanos very early on in a cameo. They had a big plan leading to the big comic event which is the Infinity War thing. So considering one of those big events in DC lore are the Crisis series with the multiverses, and considering they're splitting DCEU and DC Dark, they could be setting up such an event film 10 years down the line by actually splitting the universes and giving us 2-3 different takes on the same characters like it seems we're getting and making them clash on screen in an eventual Crisis event on film. Speculation on my part, of course, but their latest decisions actually point in that direction.
Thanks! If Ben Affleck is out, its because he chose to leave. How many times must that point be driven home?

I'll say this, IF Ben wants to leave, I'll gladly accept that, and welcome the new guy. But that's a big IF for me.
For me Ben Affleck is a better storyteller than Reeves, and I find his directing more sophisticated. But he's not the director. Reeves is. So we dont have to choose between them. He's the actor. They should be a great combo and actually work together to create a ICONIC Batman movie.
But just curious, which movie makes you think that Ben is a better director? I've watched some of his movies when trying to get a feel for his directing, but none of them seemed to click. I mean, on a technical aspect maybe he's better (he's got an Oscar for that for god's sake). But Reeves seems to be more capable of delivering a blockbuster that can get you emotionally attached to the characters, while also isn't lacking in depth and messages. Affleck's movies on the other hand seem a bit "dry" to me.
