The Dark Knight Biggest Satisfactions

everything.
On a side note here, is this class or what.

As most of you probably know, Heath was filming Terry Gilliam's "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus" at the time of his death. Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell stepped in to complete Heath's role, playing different versions of his character "Tim."

When the three actors learned that Ledger's will had not been updated to include his daughter, the generous trio decided to donate all the money they earned from the film to little Matilda!

Biggest satisfactions?

Batman becoming even more like THE Batman we know

Two-Face and Joker, the two best villains ,being done perfectly.

How different it feels from Begins, yet still feeling like the only way the story would be continued. Escalation running through.

The action was the best in a batman film

The acting was incredible

the film's superiority over other films on a storytelling based technical level.

BIGGEST SATISTACTIONS ARE...

Batman and Joker's psychological relationship

Batman doesn't kill the Joker!

everything.

That is incredibly cool for all three of them to do that.:yay:

Everything between and including the blue flaming Bat and the end credits...

More percisely I really loved the interrogation scene, the whole hospital sequence, the opening scene, Batman having to choose between Rachel/Dent and that entire suspenseful sequence, Joker's attack on the Wayne party, the mid-movie chase with the birth of the bat-pod and the showdown between Joker and Batman, any scene with Michael Caine, Fox talking to Batman about the morality of the sonar device, and the entire ending from when Gordon arrives to find Two-Face.

I just really liked the whole movie, it's subtexts, its pacing, its acting, characterization, writing, moral ambiguity and thoughtfulness of material. Brilliant.

James
Why's he running, dad?!

Gordon
Because we have to chase him...

James
He didn't do anything wrong!

The Batman lurches between shipping containers. STUMBLING. BLEEDING. He makes it to the bat-pod...

That moment where Batman is stumbling when the score kicks in....GOOSEBUMPS!

The fact that it delivered. Plain and simple, most people at this point will try and take things away from this film. It's an astonishing accomplishment that Nolan and company should be extremely happy about. For me personally, I am so glad I got to see a Batman movie like this. It's truly a dream come true to see characters I've loved since childhood be presented in a way that demands respect and that's enchanted movie goers and critics alike, and of course, gave us all the movie we always wanted.

i loved alot of what people already said:

-sliding down the money

-hitting "you know who" in the face with money

-his speech about sending a message

- the whole hospital scene

- and the number one is seeing in the end credits a dedication to heath

Everything. But the signal montage, with the "I'm not a hero" track really gave me goosebumps. Gordon's line about reminding everyone that Batman is out there felt staight out of DKR.

Eckhart's doped out, zombified portrayal of Two-Face. Like a crocodile pretending to be asleep before it catches its prey. He was superb.

Heath Ledger.

The Scarecrow. We didn't have to see him at all and yet there he was. With his own gang, a slightly different suit and a typically good performance from Murphy. I sincerely hope he's a recurrent nuisance in these films.

The score. Why So Serious? and Harvey Two-Face are great beyond description.

I loved the relationship between Fox and Wayne. Never actually SAYING the words, but constantly implying through glances and all. Also Fox' Oracle-esque role with the sonar screens.

I also loved the fact that Batman had all of Gotham wired with cameras, or tapped into security cameras. Through wihich he was watching Dent, Dawes, The Mayor, everyone.

I also got a kick out of the ''James Bond'' scenes with Bruce Wayne doing Batman stuff without the costume. Driving around the Murcielago while having radio contact with Alfred was awesome.

My biggest satisfaction will be when the Oscar noms are announced and The Dark Knight is nominated for:

supporting actor ( Heath )
cinematography
screenplay
editing
sound
Soundtrack
makeup
Best director
Best picture

That's 9 possible nominations listed in order of most to least likely.

Everything about this film was perfect : cinematography, script, cast, acting, soundtrack. But by far the biggest satisfaction was seeing Joker played perfectly, in a way I'd imagined since a child. The twitches, ticks, noises, facial expressions and habits that all went to make the Joker real and believable. Showing the funny ha-ha side of Joker (Nurse Matilda), the terrifying, psychopathic side (fake batman) and the scheming, calculating side (hand-clapping, interrogation) was no easy feat but Heath captured it perfectly.

I came away fulfilled but with a desperate need for more. Unfortunately the impact it's had on me is that I have great difficulty watching tv, reading, listening to music because nothing compares.

batman with white eyes!!!

but not only that, the interrogation, and the cheesy ending speech that gordon gave. a lot of people say it took back from the dark realism of the movie, but i loved it. haha. he's not our hero. he's a silent guardian. a watch protector. our dark knight....something like that. i left the theater with the biggest smile on my face.

Batman sitting opposite the Joker and just chatting.

Awesome.

Everything in this epic film from the Opening main Title to The Ending Credits .

I'm overjoy at the fact that despite the fact Their were multiple Villains & Key players in the film that Batman presence was still present in the scene that Ledger was in as The Joker in which he was Incredible . Nolan managed to still make sure No one stole Batman's thunder . Something Burton failed at in his 89 film of Batman IMO . I'm also Glad Two-Face/ Harvey Dent & James Gordon were finally given some proper Justice in the batman films .

-The Score was superb in the film

-Rachel Dies

-The action scenes this time around are viewable. Although they're far from good, its nice to see a step in the right direction

It was pretty much everything I've wanted to see in a Batman movie but the biggest thing was that it wasn't a nice movie. I've always felt that the best Batman stories were gritty, smart crime drama's and thats what Nolan made.

Completely agree with everything you said. Especially about James Gordon. I had satisfaction with the entire film. Best movie going experience I've had in awhile.

One of the many things I enjoyed seeing was Batman kick ass in the nightclub and Den't fundraiser party. It's great seeing him take on multiple goons. Had no problems with BB's fights but I love the way they were shot this time around.

For me the biggest satisfactions were:

-everyone fit their role perfectly, and most of them simply disappeared into their role
-The visual effects were better then ever.
-The performance of the Joker lived up to its expectations
-The moment we first see Two Face!
-The reintroduction of Gordon. Kick ass moment for Oldman!
-THE PENCIL TRICK!!!!!!!! In fact, the whole mob meeting scene was well done
-The makeup on the Joker
-The amazing story Chris Nolan came up with for this movie

the laughs when the joker was kicked by rachel and also when he was thrown to the ground by batman in the interrogation room

(i know in the biggest dissapoint i say the laughs were better in the trailers but, I think these are the exceptions)

I've caught myself doing this laughs myself

- The lead up to Batman's first appearance in the movie. How Gotham reacts to the bat signal, Gordon on the rooftop waiting and Ramirez asks where he is and he says "Hopefully... because he's busy" then we see the fake Batmen attacking the thugs and Scarecrow and then finally when a copycat is about to shoot a Mob boss, Batman comes in out of nowhere and uses that device to bend the copycat's gun then knock him out and start fighting. Heroic and bad ass lol
- Bruce doing some detective work with the finger print on the bullet
- Joker's reveal
- The whole mob meeting scene with the great pencil trick
- Forgot who said it but the thing about the suspense of the tumbler being badly damaged and just stuck after being hit by the rpg until the batpod suddenly bursts out was perfectly edited. Especially with the music
- All of the lines that show why Batman is a great hero like Brian Douglas' " He's a symbol that we don't have to be afraid of scum like you." or "Batman has no limits" and the great "A Dark Knight" speech
- Every freaking piece of dialogue especially the subtle jokes like "I need a new suit" " 3 buttons is a little nineties Mr. Wayne." Or the "I certainly hope not" (which I've been trying to use lately hahaha)
- The heroic rescues and moments were great like Bruce's lambo driving in the way of the suv trying to ram Reese in the van or Batman fighting SWAT to save the hostages
- How the movie actually shows why he's called "The Dark Knight" and how perfectly they do it.
- Joker and Batman scenes
- Two-Face scenes
- Screw it... EVERY SINGLE LITTLE THING ABOUT THE MOVIE WAS AWESOME!

- Bruce Wayne and Gordon meeting for the first time.
- Batman fighting against the police.
- lenses.
- Fight scenes where you can actually see what's going on.
- Batman/Joker interrogation room scene.
- The Joker.
- A good adaptation of Two Face.
- The "I have to save Dent" line.
- The Score
- The whole film.

All the Scenes with Oldman and Eckhart, particularly the final one where Gordon tries to justify his actions to Dent.
