I thought that was Miguel Ferrer for a second there.

I don't think so. I mean, who would be left to fulfill this for Walt?

Skinny Pete and Badger don't strike me as the murdering types. It was pure intimidation, that will frighten them enough to give Jr. the money.
Yeah, but Elliott and Gretchen don't know that. As far as they know, they just had two legitimate hitmen pointing guns at them.

Oh right, there's this too lol. I guess there's also Better Call Saul to look forward to as well.

Yeah, I thought he just said if you don't do what I'm telling you to do in 10 months you'll die.

Granted, they'll probably still be frightened, just because they know "hitmen" are out there watching, but Walt only indicated they would die if they didn't follow his orders.

I see.

That's a shame. Filtering his money through them plus making them fear for their safety for the rest of their lives would have been a great "**** you."

It is a bit surprising he didn't do that, but I think they'll still live in considerable fear regardless. They'll never know for sure if they're ever truly safe.

I'd have to say though, having now seen the whole series, I have to agree with Vince Gilligan that Ozymandias was probably the cream of the crop.

And one thing I kind of disliked about this episode was that Walt got facetime with Skyler and Holly. I liked that he at least gave her the location of Hank's body, it was the least he could do, but I wish he had mailed her a letter or something else. I just felt this episode undid some of the drama of that brilliant phone call in Ozymandias, which to me was insanely powerful because I had assumed those would be the last words he said to Skyler. It was a little too sugary for me at times. And yet, still utterly brilliant. I'm not hating, I have nothing but respect for Gilligan's vision and how he chose to end his show. Just some things I would've personally preferred a bit different, for my own tastes.

I don't think a finale or tv show can get better than that.

Welp, I was really, really off about how this was going to end, but I don't care because this was such an emotionally satisfying and terrific ending to a great, great series. And that's because everybody--including Walt--got exactly their just desserts, whether they liked it or not.
The scene where Walt breaks into--or rather causally strolls into--Gretchen and Elliot's new home and blackmails them was brilliant and unexpected. As was Walt finally telling the truth about why he really cooked meth during his good-bye to Skylar. And while you quickly figured out who the M60 and the ricin capsule were for, how they were used not only reminded us just how devious and intelligent Walter is, but also brought back Walt as Heisenberg for one last great hurrah (although I was a bit confused as to how Walt was shot by the ricochet, considering how he was on the ground with Jesse). And I know I probably wasn't the only one cheering when Jesse attacked "Meth Damon" Todd, although part of me wonders what the hell Jesse is going to do now even though he does have his freedom.
Again, great, great ending.

What I'll say about this ending is that they did the exact thing I was kind of dreading they'd do for a long time...which is to try and give Walt a last minute redemption. And yet, I didn't hate it. In fact, it all pretty much felt right.

I dunno, it was actually a very feel good ending which I found kind of surprising, but there definitely was a part of me hoping the show would end on a darker, more brutal note. I didn't want to root for Walt again, but they made me! I'm torn because I totally see how this was a fitting end to the show.

All in all, great series, great finale. Probably not my first choice for an ending, but it was undeniably satisfying. Breaking Bad will go down as one of the greats, no two ways about it.

This is more or less where I am, too.

Fantastic finale. It surprised me, took my breath away and satisfied me. It was the ending that fit the show and I can't wait to watch this series again. And again and again. Seasons four and five elevated it to my favourite drama series ever and made the earlier seasons even better.

We will remember Heisenberg's name 54 years from now.

That was a great ending to such a great show. Still can't believe it's finished now. I didn't know what to expect for the ending, but I'm more than happy with it. Just a great series, and a great finale to it. I can't wait to watch it all over again from the beginning many times from now.

No doubt, people will remember this show for centuries to come.

It was a very fitting ending and surprisingly not as dark as I thought it would be. Walt and Jesse did not end up killing one another and Walt got a last goodbye to Skyler and Holly, as defeated as it was. There was even a way for the rest of Walt's money to get his family. I can see now why Vince Gilligan called the ending victorious, though I would not call it redemptive.

It ended about the only way it could have ended with Walt dying. I love shows and movies that have interpretive endings to make you think but Vince stated he wanted closure and that is what we got. Goodbye sweet Prince.

Like most, I was expecting something darker, but I'm pretty happy right now. Loved the closure offered and layers involved.

Yeah, it was rather straight-forward and surprisingly predictable, but it was executed well. I don't really have any complaints about it, it did what it needed to do. I'm surprised Vince called it controversial though, since it was about as safe an episode as there's been all season.

What a great end to the show. I do think it might have been a bit too feel-good for me which is hard to fathom considering all that Walt's done. I guess I was expecting more of a curveball from Gilligan considering how many he's thrown already but a lot of us got what we wanted when you think about it...
Jesse killed Todd
Lydia got the ricin
Walt killed the nazis
Jesse lived at the end (which I thought would happen)
Walt went out on his own terms which I thought would happen as well (leaving his family the money and with his mark on his work. I mean, bloody hand on the lab equipment for crying out loud)
I think a handful of us predicted correctly how the show was going to end. I guess I was expecting nearly all of us to be wrong on most counts but that wasn't the case. In no way does that make me bring the show or finale down, because overall the ride has been phenomenal and Vince knocked it out of the park. It's hard to believe that a show like this gave me a "happy ending" with our "hero". It's hard to process :funny:

One thing though. How does one put ricin into an unopened packet of stevia and then make it look like it was never opened? My only nit-pick

Not gonna lie. I thought that they might have Jesse get into a wreck as he was speeding away.

So many shows jump the shark and end with a fizzle, but Breaking Bad always had such great consistency. It really did go out on top and when you think of how many times we get to see a show do that, it makes Breaking Bad all the more special. Started with a bang, continued to up the ante with each season and tied up all the loose ends with a finale just as satisfying as the series itself. This was something very special.
