Breaking Bad - Part 3

I agree with Nolan. Let's leave discussion of other shows for other threads.

I have read this on several bb boards. Vince stated that there will be a "unforgivable act" by Walter. What do you think will it be? Killing a family member?

Yea I can do that. Sorry to have derailed the convo so much guys. I'm very passionate about tv. So how about that episode tomorrow nite??? I can't wait to see Jesse's reactions to Walt telling him if he's out he gets nothing

i'm not sure if it's really jesse. could be mike too. mike depends on the money too. this could lead to the point in which walter gives lydia and todd the green light to kill mike and with todds prison connection they would also have a chance to kill the remaining 9 people from gus fring's crew..getting rid of all loose ends.

I think Walt may be talking to Skyler when he says "You're not leaving, because if you leave you leave you get nothing!" Notice how Walt isn't in that scene in the promo and they're focusing on Jesse who isn't really reacting to what's being said.

i thought about this too, but what does Skyler expect to get from Walt? at this point, i think she would gladly leave him without nothing, only the kids with her. that's why i thought it could be Mike..

Mike doesn't make very much sense. Just last week Mike said he was out, and Walter seemed completely fine with it, maybe even slightly happy until Jesse said he was out too. Why would Walt suddenly get pissed about Mike leaving?

As for Skyler, we all know what she wants, but Walt doesn't accept that. This is a lot of speculation, but IF he really is talking to her in that scene, and IF she's made it known to Walt that her intent is leave with the kids, it makes sense that Walt of all people would think waving money in her face might change her mind.

Nah, it's Jesse. Mark my words, it's Jesse. I dunno if it's the way the preview was edited that makes me feel so certain but I just do. It makes sense for Walt to finally start showing his true colors to Jesse the only person on the show who's ever truly had Walt's back. He won't have it for much longer though. I mean, look at how crazy this situation really is, especially from Jesse's pov. He was just minding his own business when his old high school chemistry teacher approaches him about wanting to cook meth well, correction. At first Walt blackmailed Jesse into working with him threatening to turn him into Hank after he saw him climbing out of that window in the pilot. This whole series has been just one insane situation created by some old nerdy dude who has snapped. Since it's only been a year sit and really think about all the stuff Jesse has been through since Walt has come into his life it's just insane the amount of abuse the character has been put through but the glorious thing about Jesse as a character is how he has risen above all this **** brought on by Walt. Jesse has mourned the loss of the only girl he ever loved, been beaten to a bloody pulp by a crazed DEA officer, gone through rehab, helped take down a Mexican drug cartel etc. Jesse is the one character in this show that HAS to make it out alive. If he dies it would be like Lost killing off Hurley or Buffy killing off Xander. I just love Jesse, I have more in common with him than basically any character in any work of fiction ever lol

We may not agree on TV in general (I had a full response to your Buffy/Angel comment typed up, but decided not to post it when I saw everyone was ready to move on, lol), but we definitely agree on this. Jesse's gotta make it out of this show alive.

I've always said that if there's ONE character I want to make it out of this thing unscathed, it has to be Jesse. I would be super bummed if he dies.

Jesse is the soul of Breaking Bad. They scraped the idea of killing him in season 1, i cant see them killing him in the final.

Agree. Jesse's been through enough ****. Let him live happily ever after with Andrea and Brock.

Yeah, Jesse's definitely going to die.

There's no way in hell that Vince doesn't know that people are sitting around mirroring the sentiments expressed in the previous few posts. What better way to tear people's hearts out than by killing Jesse? Now that would be an unforgivable act.

So much fun in this series would've been gone if they actually axed Jesse in S1.

as far as i know, the "unforgivable act" should take place during the first 8 episodes of the first half. killing jesse in the first half of the final season could result in losing audience in the second half. jesse has the biggest fan base. most people can relate to him much more than with Walter. Killing him now, would hurt the show, killing him in the end, not so..

How much more "unforgivable" can Walt get? He pretty much entered the point of no return when he poisoned Brock last season. To me that was absolutely unforgivable. What could he possibly do worse than poison a kid?

You would be surprised how many people are still on Walt's side.

Over 10mil??? Ummmmm Heroes first season anybody?!?!? Highest ratings were like 16.2 come on now

That was on NBC.

From Seinfeld to Breaking Bad (every actor that's been on both shows)

Only 2 episodes left, still cant believe we are going to have to wait another year

It gives you a good excuse to watch the rest of the series. And if you pace yourself and watch one episode a week, you'll be pretty darn close to the new episodes when you finish. :]
