If JL gets as bad or worse of a reception is WB gonna have to pack up shop on this movieverse?

OMG but why did they post that?

They must've taken it down because I cant see that tweet from BVS anymore.

Probably. I don't see movies like cyborg, shazam, flash and gl happening, for example.

Civil War now has more positive reviews than BvS, and it hasn't even hit 100 total reviews compared to BvS's 340 odd

Well, that's what happens when Marvel plays it safe and

Doesn't kill Captain America like they did in the comics.

No tragedy, bright colors, fun, everybody has a good time. Hooray for the Marvel formula!

You must not be looking forward to Suicide Squad then :oldrazz:

Actually there is QUITE a large amount of conflict and tragedy in Civil War (if you paid any attention to the plot) ... And the movie didn't have to resort to some cheap death in a sad attempt to make people care.

Keep in mind that this is coming from someone who did NOT enjoy the Civil War comics. I thought the Civil War comics were actually quite terrible. The movie is so, so much better in every way, in my opinion.

Tragedy? You mean like
Superman's so-called death in BVS?
Everybody knows he's coming back.

Maybe there should have been a scene where Cap just stands still while a terrorist kills dozens of innocent people, and then just stands there among there burning bodies at the podium with that, "Well...dang", look on his face.

Or maybe a death where they show the dirt on the coffin floating up, showing he's ALREADY COMING BACK FROM THE DEAD.

Also, Cap didn't die in the Civil War comics. He died in his own series after Civil War ended.

Silly facts.:cwink:

Opposed to the gut wrenching death of Superman that nobody cared about? :hehe:

The one that they didn't even have the guts to follow through with? Yeah, so much better! :whatever: DC didn't have the stones to keep him under ground, but they're not playing it safe. They're risky and "breaking the mould on CBMs"!

True, if one somehow didn't think so knowing a Justice League is around the corner or if common sense didn't kick in...

Then one should have had another clue when they showed the rocks levitating off his coffin. If one didn't think something was up by then, seriously nobody can help them.

Seriously, it was way too early to play the Death Of Superman storyline, it was automatically invalid the moment it was played.

I definitely didn't think Civil War was all that bright and fun. It had it's moments of levity sure (you gotta have those), mostly via Spidey and Ant-Man, but overall the movie was actually pretty somber and intense.

The ending was heartbreaking imo.

Take the L, man.

This thread has nothing to do with Civil War.

I don't. And I still think your post was lame and misinformed.

Clearly you haven't seen Civil War yet. It is just as heavy with "tragedy", angst, sacrifice and "serious" in tone as BvS but it's executed better--and that's the difference.

Critic and audience rating took another drop.

It'll be bad for WB , especially if the quality and polarized reaction of BvS continues through the other films like SS, WW, and JL.

The genre , however, is fine given the amount of output there is between tv shows and films from both WB, Fox, and Marvel/Disney which have overall gone over well with the GA and fans alike.

The CW, Marvel, and Fox are doing it right, for the most part, and have their acts together in terms of making these properties connect with the GA.
