The Lego Movie looks so bad. I've read some reviews and it says some of the jokes are targeted towards older viewers (a la Pixar) but to me it just looks cheesy as hell. How that thing is getting 96%, I will never know.

The Lego movie is near flawless, and defintely deserves that rating. I can't come up with one bad thing to say about it. Such a great creative film that should appeal to everyone.

Why would I want to watch a movie based on a trailer that I don't get the appeal of? Use your head jaymes. I know it's your schtick to be funny and say your one-liners ("Someone's bitter" quip)but it's tiring, IMO.

Don't tell me you've never lambasted the Twilight movies even though (I assume) you've never seen them. Or maybe you have. And you like them.

Yeah, it's really good. The humor is not really like Shrek Or Family Guy's style, maybe a scene or two but not as a whole. There's alot more things going on so it stands apart from other cartoons or CGI flicks pretty well. It does take advantage of it's world and well known characters with rapid fire jokes but thats a part of the fun. There's a great theme about individually and being creative, and the style of the animation leads itself to that as well. Everything works perfect through out imo, and even more so by the end. Most of all it's just really entertaining. Good stuff.

Gonna be tough for other animated flicks to match it this year.

Pixar movies do look good. Yea except Cars/2 Can't wait for Good Dinosaur.

I'm not gonna say the Lego movie is not a good movie, but if it has a 97% rating in Rotten Tomatoes, then it could be a really good movie.

But I'm not watching it in theater, I'm just not that interested in seeing things/people modeled from Lego toys. I'm not even playing the Lego videogames featuring the Marvel characters.
