Does Evans start filming AoU on the 3rd next week?

Like I said, that could have impacted his talk show schedule. Though it's crazy that TASM and Godzilla are already having their actors go on the talk show circuits.

regarding agent Sitwell:

On the April 1 episode of Agents of SHIELD, Agent Sitwell appears and you basically see him walking off to where he is at the beginning of The Winter Soldier. Agent Hand tells him he's going to get dropped off to go on to the Lemurian Star, the ship from the beginning of Winter Soldier.

I'm seeing this in less than 24 hours. So excited! I'll write a spoiler-free review as soon as I can.

It was Chris' idea to use the Captain America video game as reference for Cap's acrobatic fighting ability, and that's probably one of the best parts of CA:TWS.

The Russos independently had the idea of using the videogame for their pitch, as far as I remember.

So the movie is in fact 136 minutes, straight from Marvel/Disney.

Not the 128 minutes we also heard. It's probably more like 128 minutes sans credits, but then we get two credit scenes so it kind of evens out.

Where's Alexei to ***** about 136 minutes being too short?

Either way, that makes this Marvel's longest movie since Avengers. I'm encouraged because sometimes I think these movies are cut a little too short and it seems like they gave this one the additional time it needed. Thor 2 probably needed another 10-15 minutes.

I hope this movie is well received that way we can see more movies that are basically more epically lengthed as the scope and scale of the stories suggest.

I hope the success of TWS will directly influence AOU because they are shooting it right now. I want Whedon and the cast see TWS and want to do an even better job with the Avengers sequel.

Important question here. Does Captain America ever perform a charging star or a stars and stripes in this?

Just came from Theater. Awesome Movie! :awesome:
[BLACKOUT]The connection of Hydra & SHIELD was just mindblowing![/BLACKOUT]

Okay, I already know who the winter soldier is but why do they put out a featurette on the YT main channel of marvel that spoils the surprise for everyone else?

I just don't get it.

Can I just say that it's such a relief having now seen the movie and being able to freely float through this forum without fearing stepping on a spoiler landmine? I feel like a pig joyfully rolling in swill as I gorge in thread after thread!

Now that's a wonderful image. :oldrazz:

Having been offline for almost a week, I've missed a lot of spoiler-y stuff people must have posted after the previews last week. That's fine by me because I have a good chance of seeing the film mostly unspoiled on the 4th.

Your avatar clearly shows us how you feel right now.

So for those who are complaining about it, the film sort of addresses why SHIELD doesn't show up in crises that occur in other films. Damn, the twist in the first act probably knocked me out of my shoes more than the Mandarin twist did.

Haha, how does that address SHIELD not being in there?

The answer is simple: this is a Captain America movie, this is Cap's adventure and you're not going to have Thor or Iron Man hanging around, but your argument makes no sense.

It's simple. Tony's either busy handling the Mandarin/Extremis stuff or the events of TWS take place well after Stark has apparently retired from being Iron Man. As for Thor, he's dealing with the Dark Elves/Aether situation in Asgard.

Saitou Hajime was talking about the lack of SHIELD in Thor 2 and Iron Man 3. Not why Thor and Iron Man aren't in this movie.

Haha, how does that address SHIELD not being in there?

SHIELD's non-interference in the crises in Iron Man 3 and The Dark World only serves to further destabilize the world in accordance with Hydra's ultimate endgame. Actually the events of those two films take on a completely different light when viewed through the lens of TWS.

See, that doesn't make sense, you'd have to answer:
1) How does SHIELD cover up their tracks for not only avoiding to assist Tony Stark, but they also avoid the assistance of the Vice President of the United States of America?

2) What does Hydra gain from allowing the Dark Elves to take over the universe? Nothing.

1. It was already covered in Iron Man that the US Government wants to be seen as being able to handle its own problems, a mandate that SHIELD/Hydra no doubt goes along with (and even helps along) to further their interests.

2. The London attack together with the Battle of New York only serve to further justify Project Insight's existence. The former crises happens and ends pretty quickly anyway, so SHIELD/Hydra can afford to drag their feet while entrusting Thor to handle the situation just like he did in New Mexico and New York.

Haha, same here. I've been careful for so long it took a moment to remember "oh wait, I can click on this now!":woot:

Whedon isn't seeing TWS for the first time now, part of his job is keeping abreast of these films throughout all stages of their production.
