I can't believe Capcom will never make another Marvel vs. Capcom. Still, they are showing their respect for our hero. A salute to the Captain.

I think my first real exposure to Captain America was through the MvC game for Dreamcast when I was a kid.

I know it's too early to be talking about Cap 3, but I would like to see these guys be the villains of Cap 3:

Baron Von Strucker:

with this guy:

Crossbones:

and these guys as a possibility (one of them anyways):

Heinrich Zemo:

Helmut Zemo:

With this guy as an outside possibility (played by another actor of course):

Red Skull:

I know one of the Cap 3 writers said that but I don't see it. I see Cap 3 as the destruction of HYDRA because I doubt this guy will give a flip about HYDRA in Avengers 3:

Seeing as they said it...I don't see how you can just dismiss it because it doesn't fit your vision. They can integrate him with HDYRA. They'll have to change a lot around about the character if they want to use him.

If they use the Grand Director for HYDRA in the MCU, he's not going to be the leader of HYDRA. That's going to be Von Strucker. Of course, Grand Director could be the leader of HYDRA should Von Strucker meet his maker in AoU.

Still though, Von Strucker, Grand Director, Crossbones, Zemo (Heinrich/Helmut) and possibly Red Skull/Madame Hydra and/or Sin? That'll be a murderers row of HYDRA agents.

I hadn't read that tidbit (I just looked up the quote). Intresting! I'd like to see the Red Skull somehow worked into that idea, if they end up using that premise. Obviously, it would have to be altered to some degree. But, the Grand Director could be updated fairly easily.

How? I mean, his backstory is convoluted in the first place and the idea of a second Captain America is kind of weird to introduce out of no where and has potential to feel like a retread if they're not careful since Bucky had a bit of a similar thing going.

All valid concerns, but at the same time, we do know many attempts at recreating Captain America were done by various countries. I think the idea can work if used in the proper thematic setting. I doubt he'd be the only villain, also. You could still work in a Zemo or something like that and still include elements of this story (though it needs modernized).

After TWS, I'm not really going to question what the Russos want to do, LOL!

I listened to all their lightening rounds.

Just based on how they were reacting, I think MODOK, Red Skull, and Baron Zemo were the characters they seemed to be favoring. The gave concerns about each of the 3 (all of which they cited were valid ones), but clearly they put the most thought into those answers. That means likely they've been discussed. A lot.

I'm hoping they go with Nuke. I think they can have a nice analysis on various veterans with Steve (WWII), Nuke (Vitenam) & Falcon (Afghanistan). I find the Vietnam War-era to be extremely interesting, so I'd love to get some of that in the next Cap movie. I think the contrast between WWII vets who were treated like heroes (much like Steve) & the Vietnam vets who were treated like villains (like Nuke) & had no home after what they had gone through could be work well in this scenario.

They might be able to tie Bucky into Nuke too. Maybe Nuke was both an attempt at recreating Cap AND as a proposed rival to the Winter Soldier.

Red Skull also ties in with Bucky, which means he could be a motivator for Bucky accepting Steve's help. I mean, he's definitely going to be making it his mission to destroy Hydra, to the point where there are no more heads to cut off. That's kind of how the storyline in the comics played out, with Skull-Lukin's giant Nazi robots destroying everything.

This is what I'm hoping for, as well! Bring back the Red Skull, and if this is Evans final solo film, send him out finishing what was started in TFA! When Cap is recast, or if he ends up dying in Avengers 3 or something, you could then use Baron Zemo as the next "big bad" for the series! Whether that be in introducing a new Steve Rogers, making Bucky Barnes Cap, or somehow, Evans decided to come back for another round.

That's how I'm hoping they approach it.

No one knows how hyped I will be when the day finally comes that MODOK is in a movie.

Remember there are two Zemos.

The reason I want Hydra to be the main villains of Cap 3 is because HYDRA doesn't make any sense for Doctor Strange, Thor 3 and Avengers 3. It's only natural that HYDRA ends in Cap 3.

Regardless of whether or not the villain is Burnside or one of the Zemos, we know that one of the villains coming back is Crossbones.
