I don't think that Stane was HYDRA. Stane had nothing to do with Howard and Maria Stark's deaths, at least not that we've been told. HYDRA killed the Stark's, and Stane just took advantage by trying to kill the LAST member of the Stark family.

Just bought a new car for my wife. And now we are preparing to see captain america at 745. Just want to say thanks to everyone in here for making the buildup such a blast. Especially Suzanne. Its been a helluva ride.

In reference to this guy:

Dr_Strange_by_Steve_Ditko.jpg

Feige said this to Crave Online:

“Well, we know what it means and where we want to head with it, but we were comfortable with keeping it in there and leaving it in there because there are a few different ways to interpret it. The whole thing, what Sitwell’s saying is, this algorithm is going to predict if you’re going to become a problem for Hydra or not. So you don’t have to just be Tony Stark, actively plotting to save the world. You could be a kid whose SAT scores and whose essays have indicated that you’re going to be a problem one day. So is Stephen Strange the Sorcerer Supreme? Probably not at that point. Is he an unbelievably talented neurosurgeon who’s opinionated and kind of arrogant? Probably. That might put him on the list.”

Going by their MO and the whole thing about compartmentalization being utilized to keep secrets, I'd say Stane wasn't HYDRA but I'm sure SHIELD/HYDRA would have been aware of who he was and what he was all about. They keep tabs on everyone. It's possible that they removed Stark to position Stane to take over the company perhaps without Stane even knowing that the whole thing was manufactured to install him in a control of company because HYDRA would perceive Stane as more friendly that Stark, who being a SHIELD founder could easily jeopardize their larger scheme if still around. Then HYDRA could utilize Stane and by extension Stark industries. As far as Stane knows he could be doing covert black project deals with SHIELD, not knowing that the tech was being put to nefarious uses via HYDRA, not that someone like Stane would care. Stane would be useful to HYDRA but for secrecy, compartmentalization, and plausible deniability purposes he doesn't need to know the details and with the price Stane ain't gonna be asking any questions either way in the long run.

By the way, it looks like Cafe Press and Marvel have teamed up to sell some TWS goodies!

But no CA:TFA white SSR T-shirt. That would be extremely stylish without being too obvious if you want to wear something else but still be comic based.

It's difficult to buy T-shirts online. If I get one that is too small, then the neck will be too tight and in the summer it will be far too hot to wear. But if I buy a size bigger, then the arms will be very large and baggy. Cap's white T-shirt seems to be custom made probably. Of course, he has large biceps, but even then, lots of T-shirts always have the problem of being too big or too small in particular areas. It really has to be form-fitting enough without being too tight that you can't get your head or shoulders in.

I have the same problems with buying online. Heck, I even have problems when buying in the store because I never know how much they'll shrink.

This is what always happens. I've had to end up exchanging some T-shirts after about a month of wearing them (and having washed them) because they simply don't fit anymore. I generally need a large T-shirt but not large arms, as they just look ridiculous with them so baggy and not form fitting. Large arms just makes one look like someone who works in a comic book or Apple store.

Okay, so box office projections:

Variety ‏@Variety 35m
Box Office: ‘Captain America’ Racing to $100 Million in U.S. Debut http://on.variety.com/1si9l4n

Nikki Finke ‏@NikkiFinke 3h
Early Friday Box Office: 'Capt America 2' (Dis/Marvel - 3938 runs) trending $35M for $90M-$95M wkd & April record.
-- keep in mind it wasn't even 5pm on the west coast, so her estimates? SUUUUUUUPER early. Likely inaccurate.

Awwwww!! Thanks :)

Really hope you enjoy the movie Joey!

I love "Not a Record!" Because really, that means the same thing LOL!!

Btw can you explain that to me? The "not a record" thing, I'm not really familiar with her. :oldrazz:

Nikki is a big time HWood insider, whose box office predictions remain the "industry standard" though she has been shown to be more inaccurate as time has weathered on.

When The Avengers came out, its initial overnights were great -- and her initial headlines early Friday were "NOT A RECORD".

But then the receipts for Friday's showing started coming in, her estimates were way off, and Avengers were on their way to having the best Friday in BO History…

LOL! That's brilliant. :funny:

To those posters who always said that Cap's abilities weren't showcased enough in the other movies (which always left me a little confused because I was satisfied), Boy were you guys not wrong. This man truly was a SUPER soldier in this movie!

*trying to like this post a million times*

Yeah, I never saw an issue in the other Cap movies with how his abilities were portrayed.

Now, I wish the Russos would retroactively insert new action scenes into TFA and Avengers. :csad::csad::csad:

WAY TO RUIN THOSE MOVIES FOR ME, ANTHONY AND JOE!! :oldrazz:

Marvel need to do special editions of all their movies like Star Wars. They should replace footage of Howard Stark with Dominic Cooper in IM1 and IM2.

The only one I've gone to see twice has been Avengers. Cap 2 might get a second theatrical viewing out of me.

This is the ONLY movie that I've EVER seen the first day, or the first weekend for that matter.

My review... it's pretty spoiler-free.

Just came back from Captain America: The Winter Soldier and boy does it deliver. This is clearly Marvel’s answer to The Dark Knight, It takes it self a bit more serious than the other MCU movies while still retaining some humor. I am a huge fan of the The First Avenger, I still say it’s the best Phase One Marvel film and from the looks of it, Winter Soldier is going to be my favorite Phase Two Marvel film.

The story is the centerpiece of this movie, they really nail down those old spy thrillers. While I haven’t read the comic its based on, Which I should really need to get just on Brubaker’s name alone, i’ve known some elements of the story for a while.

The entire cast from Chris Evens to even the small character actors put it their all in their performances. Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow continues to get better with each film and Sam Jackson as Fury really kicked some major ass.

My only complaint I have is something that Hollywood is doing lately with all these major blockbusters, they all have to end it in huge explosions causing massive destruction. I will give them credit in this movie for making it well done within the context, but the principle still remains. Overall this is Marvel’s crowning jewel at this moment, I really can’t wait to see it again. It’s a new dawn in the superhero/comic book movie genre and it is amazing. Go check it out on the biggest screen possible.
9.5/10

I just got back online and saw the projections at the BO forums. All I have to say is, wow! America is coming through for her Captain in a big way.

Every penny is well-deserved because CATWS is such a fantastic film. I've just had the biggest smile on my face ever since the end credits rolled. Everyone involved in making it should be so proud of what they've created. All along I've wished that Captain America could star in a solo film that was as great and beloved as Iron Man and all the other wonderful comic book films we've seen over the years. Now Cap finally has the showcase he deserves and more people can see what we fans have always known: Captain America is an iconic character with the same depth and richness of background as any of the greatest superheroes.

Just think, months ago they already signed the same people to do another one. :awesome:

 Cap's abilities were showcased superbly in this movie.

Is there any difference in the 3D and 2D? I'm asking because I was looking at show times on Fandango and it shows the 2D's runnning time at 2:08 and the 3D at 2:15.
