It really does. It's very jarring when you're used to the other guy's deep, uber-dramatic voice.

Still, those Canadian promos always seem to be more informative.

Actually, I think you're just trying to project YOUR values onto Hiro without OBSERVING what his actually are.

HIS hero, Kensai, killed. Killing is part of his culture's warrior code, as is self-sacrifice. I'd say that based on this and his decision to kill Sylar (despite his discomfort), everyone ASSUMING that "Hiro doesn't kill" or that he would be devalueing his principles is wrong. Dead wrong. Heroes paints itself in THIS world, not the Bat or Spidey worlds. No Arkham.

Further, what Hiro is actually supposed to do to Adam is MUCH more cruel than a simple death.

His hero is no longer who he thought he was. In fact, his hero is his archenemy, and a murderer. Hiro would probably want to stay as far away from that as possible.
