so everytime she manifests into a new personality...she gets a different power??
Jessica had super strength who is to say Strauss doesn't have ice powers? They wanted to keep Ali Larter in the show because she is hot and this being a totally different character would be lame as well as if this was her twin sister:o She knows who Nikki is and Linderman knows as well:o

All I gotta say is wow! Way better hen anything in season 2.
I wouldn't go THAT far, but still good nonetheless..

My only concern is that the Angela/Petrelli/Sylar thing doesn't seem to be all that convincing right now...

About the only good thing from season 2 were Elle and the mystery thing at the start with Peter. And I liked the Adam Character.

Maya is back, but not West or Monica...I'm guessing they just disappeared. I'll go against the grain here and say that season two wasn't that bad. It was weak, but not terrible. I like the Claire/West storyline. There are a ton of characters I am wondering about.

Peter is not on someone else's body. Just got a really strong illusion on him. Future Peter probably teleported the other guy to somewhere else

At the end of season 2, Angela essentially ordered the hit on Nathan, said it had to be done, then claimed she and the mystery person on the phone "opened Pandora's Box."

Now this season she seems angry about the shooting after claiming it was necessary. Its confusing.

She was talking to Future Peter on the phone and the Pandora's Box was him completely screwing up the timeframe (which resulted in Sylar gaining Claire's powers and the Villains escaping as opposed to the original timelines that had people with powers being persecuted and the one before that having 93% of the world's population dying).

She didn't order the hit on Nathan, but she knew it was Future Peter because of her powers to dream the future.

She knows that the shooting of Nathan was necessary to keep the Company (which she is in charge of now) secret and to prevent the public from knowing about people with abilities which would have brought an end to the Company and persecution of herself, her son, her granddaughter, and more.

Question: Didn't Lindermann have invisibility powers?

Perhaps he's tapped into that, making himself only visible to Nathan?

Fantastic!

Perfect introduction for the third season. I'm excited to learn more about the future, and Ando receiving a power? That should be interesting.

Also, I'm excited to see where they take Daphne as a character.

Great Episode. Much better then alot of the stuff in season three.

Pretty underwhelming. No :wow: moments for me. But Sylar is still a badass so that's comforting. And as usual, anything outside the Petrelli [BLACKOUT]Now including Sylar[/BLACKOUT] family isn't catching my interest.

I was thoroughly entertained for both hours. I thought Mohinder was going to fit himself for some webshooters, then he went all Goldblum. :D Pretty stupid of him to haphazardly inject himself though. Not as stupid as Hiro is though.

The super speed, ice, pyro and 'red electricity' were all wicked.

From the looks of the preview, Sylar's next endeavor looks pretty good.

Thank Zeus this show is back on the air.
Sub-Zero Wins!!! :)
Excellent. :applaud
Sound Manipulation? And they had him on Level 5!?! What sort of evil things could he do with sound manipulation?
Could be something like Dazzler; converting sound into some form of energy.

Wow! Terrific premire tonight. Lots of moments that just made me do several fist pumps. Much, MUCH better than Volume 2 and we're only two chapters in. If the rest of the season lives up to what we got tonight, this could be on par with the first season easy.

As for the characters:

Peter--So how to address the problem of Peter becoming too powerful? Why [BLACKOUT]stick the original Peter into the body of escaped tattooed, fat, handle bar mustached and bald super-villian, while have Future Peter come to the present and play the role of the anti-hero digused as himself.[/BLACKOUT] Brilliant.

Nathan--Okay, obviously Future Pete healed him. [BLACKOUT]But then why is he now so nuts that he thinks he sees Linderman?[/BLACKOUT] He'd fit right into the Senate if you ask me.:oldrazz:

Mohindir a.k.a. Mohin"DUH!"--Or should he now be known as Seth Brundle?

Maya--Still annoying as ever. Yet oddly enough, very right about [blackout]Mohindir's discovery, considering what the future holds. And yeah, saw the romance with her and Mohindir coming a mile away.[/blackout]

Hiro and Ando--The Batman and Robin analogy was a little too much, but it fits. Not to mention the Catwoman comparison with regards to the new character Daphne perhaps some romantic tension as well like Bats and Cats?

Daphne--Makes perfect sense that someone who has superspeed can cancel out Hiro's time stopping ability. And it's no wonder Kring compared her to the Road Runner because there definitely was that Warner Bros. cartoon quality about her.

Matt--Didn't seem to do much, although it was a bit funny when [blackout] he thought the turtle was talking to him.[/blackout]

Claire--Interesting development now that [blackout]because of what Sylar did to her, she longer has the ability to feel pain[/blackout] and of course, there was definitely was an obviously analogy to being a rape victim. Although, if you think about it, it does kind of make the whole "Save the Cheerleader, save the World" slogan a little pointless considering how Claire is officially immortal (although that was apparent last season) Interesting surprise though was [blackout]seeing her biological mom come back[/blackout]

HRG--Oddly enough, he didn't have much to do in these two episodes other than get tossed around and provide information. Still, I'm pretty sure that's going to change.

Elle--Wow, did she ever get owned. [blackout]Her dad berates her, then her dad gets killed, she accidently lets all the level 5 guys loose, gets put in her place by Mama Petrelli, and then is effectively fired. Why do I get the suspicion that she's now going to try and get the bad guys herself and get killed?[/blackout]

Tracy Strauss--Okay, whoever said that [blackout]she would have freezing powers deserves a cigar.[/blackout] And did anyone else get the feeling that Ali Larter played her very much like she would "Jessica." Perhaps that's where Niki subsconsciously developed that personality from rather than her sister, who I guess we must now assume wasn't her biological sister after all. My guess? Niki Sanders and Tracy Strauss are obviously identical twins seperated at birth and that Linderman was their biological father. Plus, it looks like [blackout]she's going to be one of the villians, too.[/blackout]

Sylar--Even more bad ass than before. He [blackout]gets Claire's ability (and we finally see how he actually does acquire new powers) kills Bob, takes out Elle, and then we learn he could be Mama Petrelli's illegitamate son? So does that mean Kaito Nakamura was his dad, too?[/blackout]

Mama Petrelli--Lots of revelations about her, tonight, and the revealation about her power. It certainly was one of those moments which made you go "of course" when you think back throughout the rest of the series. And already she makes a great leader for the Company. And then, of course, the bombshell at the end of the premire.

Not sure what to make about the three level 5 escapees, but I wonder exactly what the real Jesse Murphy's powers are that makes him apparently the most dangerous of the bunch?

EDIT: Well, looking at a freeze frame when HRG looks through their files, it looks like the guy Peter is trapped in has the power of [blackout]Sound manipulation. So I guess he's supposed to be like Banshee or The Shocker?[/blackout]

I hated the girl who played Daphne's acting!

Even though I loved Elles scene, they said that her and Sylar would have a big showdown, and it wasnt really that big.

So tonight's episodes either flat out confirmed or STRONGLY supported two theories I've had since way back in the first few episodes of the show:

1. Nikki - Multiple personalities, each one having a different ability.

2. Sylar - Doesn't eat the brains. Simply looks at the brain to understand how it works. Everybody's brain has the capability of using ALL of the powers, if only they could use 100% of the brain. Unfortunately we only use about 10% of the brain. Some people just know how to use, say, the Flying part of their brain while most others can't. Kinda like how some people can wiggle their ears while others can't. It's not an ability you can explain to someone else, but if you know how to do it...you can. Sylar, by using his ability of understanding how things work just by looking at them, can look at the brain of someone else who knows how to use a particular ability...and then understands how to activate that part of his own brain.

Edit: Found my original post on the 2nd theory from February 7, 2007. :)

Great episode.

Love the twist at the start with future Peter atempting to kill Nathan. I really thought Nathan was dead by the end of the last season. Spider-Man Mohinder is cool. Very Fly meets Spider-Man. Looking forward to seeing Adam again. Awesome character.
