HA I was thinking that two. The promo made all devilish twoXD
I thought this episode was meh. Claire and Hiro still annoy the hell out of me. I loved the ending and next weeks looks wicked awesome. All we need is a break from the two most annoying characters ever and things will be good :oldrazz:

Well that was a nice little twist with regards to how the Homeland Security Agent was manipulated into changing her mind. Not to mention what a manipulative cold-hearted bastard Zeljko Ivanek's character can be, thus underscoring how Nathan better watch his back.

The Claire storyline it seems is almost heading down a somewhat similar path as Season 2. The only differences were the Bennet's were having breakfast at the table; Claire's new beau is a nerdy Aquaman a.k.a Zack, instead of West's rebellious and cocky Superman wannabe; and once again, Claire and the father have trust issues. At least Claire isn't acting like a complete teenage idiot this time around. Then again, she did possibly break up her parent's marriage. :whatever:

And they're definitely going with the whole Master and Apprentice approach with Sylar and Luke, especially the scene at the diner where Sylar explains tactics to Luke. In a lot of way, with this pairing, I think the show is exploring a legitamate concern via Sylar desire to find his dad--where does he go from here? Obviously, he's excepted his role as a killer, but is that all there is for him? As he hints to Luke, he could have killed him if he wanted to (and technically can absorb his powers without doing so if he chose). Definitely they've moved Sylar into the same anti-hero territory as Wolverine, I think, with this storyline.

As for the other dynamic duo, I'm glad that the show makes the point that Hiro is still a hero even without his powers, but it was certainly an obvious route they were going with this India trip. Not to mention the plot involving the girl being forced into marriage seemed way to trite, especially since it doesn't seem like she had any other purpose other than to be the damsel in distress. Sure, that was the point, I guess, but still. Too bad, it looked like Ando was going to get a girlfriend this volume.:hehe:

I don't think Claire is to blame for breaking up her parents, that's all Noah's fault. You can't expect to put a girl in a situation like that and have her keep lying to her mother about something that big.

I can't believe how stupid the Tracey part was.

She KNOWS that woman wants to shut down the program, and thinks it's a load of crud.
BUT, she decides to break out, even though she knows she's probably going to be released if she waits.
Then, when she's surrounded, and she SEE'S the same woman, she decides to kill a man. Just because. She knows she was surrounded, and she KNEW that woman was fighting for her release because she believed Tracey wasn't dangerous. But she did it anyway. And made things worse. Just because.

Oh, and then she later said she knew it was a set up because it was so obvious.

Terrible. dumb dumb dumb.

just started watching on Hulu. I really hope Rebel is not Micah as it would make less than no sense. Micah and Claire never met. Assuming Micah hacked files or something and found Claire, why would he try to contact the 18 year old girl whose powers are purely defensive instead of say...Peter or Parkman or someone whose powers can actually be used to fight back?

This episode was another mixed bag. Claire and Hiro's plots are unfortunately just as dull as ever and serve as distractions from the main story line. However, Sylar and Nathan's plots were entertaining as hell.

Uhhh...because said girl is apparently in the same neighborhood as the dude that needed the warning?

C'mon man. I've actually been seeing your viewpoints more clearly lately (though I am reserving judgement for this Volume, since I feel that they are still in the process of digging out of the hole Volume 3 dug), but you're just being obtuse to be unreasonable with this one.

Umm, he contacted her seemingly days before he sent her after Alex. And regardless, people can't travel? Hell, some of these people with powers can teleport, have super speed, can fly, etc. Why would Micah get in contact with someone he has both never met, and really doesn't have the powers or ability to protect that person (and if anything is putting him at a higher risk being as she lives with one of the hunters)?

He is not only sending messages to Claire though. He sent that fax to Ando and Hiro in India and IIRC he has not met them either.

Whoever "Rebel" is, he/she contacted MORE than just Claire, especially considering that Ando and Hiro got contacted by this entity on the same show, independent of Claire.

At the time Claire got contacted about Alex SPECIFICALLY, she WAS almost literally just down the street from the boy-who-needed-saving, if the theme of "small town" is to be believed about how they're portraying Costa Verde.

Again, my previous assessment of your stand on this, well, stands. :o

Edit: Changed "Contra Costa" to "Costa Verde".

I get that. My question is, why even bother with Claire when in doing so he puts not only her, Alex, and even himself at risk being as she lives with HRG? Costa Verde may be a small town, but its not as if others can't travel there (Clearly Peter, Parkman, and Suresh did). Why increase the risk by using Claire?

From the looks of this episode it seems the president wasn’t given definitive proof of these people with powers and yet he sanctioned Nathan’s project I am sorry but that doesn’t even make any sense. And then there is the issue of Claire, I really have to ask is she mentally ******ed or perhaps just has a very very low IQ. Anyone with common sense should know why HRG is doing what his doing, she has seen these agents hell she has been captured by them and the only reason she is still able to walk around is because of HRG and Nathan yet she keeps on pushing.........ok Claire good idea. Now with Sylar to be honest I am fed up of the guy, sure now he is been a badass and all that but you can bet your life it wont be long until the turn him back into a daddy's boy, someone weak and broken who needs reassurances from daddy just to go through life. They have also ****ed up the character Hiro he is just a boring and unlikeable character now, his been spouting the same destiny crap since season 1 he needs to **** and die or just go back home to Japan.

IMO this show isn’t picking up or getting better its basically just a mess right now with the creators and writers scrambling about trying to hit a point with the declining viewers, this was once a great show and sadly its lost that appeal and doesn’t seem to be able to get it back.

I understand what you are saying but in terms of getting to people in a timely manner I don't think any of our Heroes would have gotten there in time. I mean Caire lived not far from where Alex worked. Considering that yes Peter and Matt and Mohinder were in the bar later in the evening contacting them may have been difficult. So far all we know is that Rebel is using tech to contact these Heroes maybe there was no way to really reach Peter and the others since they are moving around constantly and have no form of communication. The question that bothers me more is hw does this Rebel no where our Heroes are located?

the only thing I wasn't much convinced about was Hiro and Ando's story, it didn't seem to have much to do with the overall storyline, but I'll wait to see if they go anywhere with this. their story is getting nowhere fast.

Sylar's getting interesting character development, we get more exposure unto his motivations, which would hint at him getting killed or put away for a real long time by season's end.

Claire's story, I hope they just take it through some awkward left turns, she has potential to become an extremely ****ed up individual, which would enrich her story greatly

the whole government involvement thing is looking nice, let's hope it pays off, Nathan need it

loved the whole HRG thing, the ending seemed like a tip of the hat to season one, in that we get a mirrored scene from the second episode's finale, and besides, Mohinder, Matt and Peter going Primatech on Bennet himself is just awesome.

as far as "Rebel", methinks it is more than one person ;)

Yeah, I did catch that little "Drugged drink" nod to season 1. Only this the shoe's on the other foot H.R.G.

My guess is Angela pulling the strings of the Haitian. It would be at best a stretch for a ten year old, no matter how smart, to be leading some sort of anti-government resistance.

I wouldn't go so far as to say he is the leader but he could be playing a role in assisting.

kinda agree, but here's why I think Micah is involved:

-the kid is a genius
-his ability was strong enough to rig a state election undetected
-we have no idea what's he been up to recently
-if it's him, he's not alone

I'd love it if they did something like that to either the hunter or nathan
