I'm not gonna judge his acting ability from that movie. I guess I just wanna see his screen presense I did not see star trek so I never saw him act. I'll be mostly looking to see how he carries himself onscreen that kind of thing. And especially how he handles his action sequences.

I just saw the new A Perfect Getaway trailer and Hemsworth looks pretty damn big and ripped already. He sure as hell won't have to do much to get to Thor size.

When I saw him in Star Trek (way before he was cast in Thor) he immediately came across as being a big man. He towered over the captain of the Kelvin.

But he does look good both ways. I definitely think he has the right look to play Thor.

I suppose I'd be in that minority, then. I think he's in decent shape, and has a good frame to work with. I'm sure he'll pack on some added muscle for Thor.

I remember seeing a youtube link where he was talking to some entertainment show, and they showed clips of him doing cardio and kick boxing and he looked pretty good.

However, the most important thing is that we know he can grow a great beard for when the time comes for movie Thor to have a beard

And standing next to the teeny Natalie Portman helps

I have no idea why physique ever comes into play, after seeing micael keaton pull off batman (fnar fnar, sorry english humour) I've stopped caring about whether an actor has the right build I more concerned with the performance now.

admitedly if the actor IS built it does help the performance i.e. bale in batman but I thought he (bale) looked more like bruce wayne/batman so if he were 40 pounds lighter it wouldn't have bothered me, bruce wayne wears suits (which can make people look larger) and batman wears a costume (which can definately make a person look larger depending on the pading).

chris is too young compared to robert downey jr or edward norton and not as charismatic as them. I think russel crowe would have been better

I don't see a problem with Thor looking younger than the other two anyway. He's a god, his appearance doesn't exactly show his age.
