I tend not to go to gyms to meet metal guys, Antonio.

One of your hobbies? :oldrazz:

Never mind the fact that one is physically possible and the other isn't.

I think it is possible to achieve such a physique but not without... 'help'*

No, we have metal guys clubs here in Rome and I go there.
I stopped going to the gym years ago, I can't stand the horrible music they usually have on.

I thought Hemsworth was great in the small role he was given in Star Trek. He definitely made that opening scene emotionally powerful, while still coming off as a strong character. That whole scene kind of makes me pine for a new Star Trek series set aboard the Kelvin in the original, unaltered universe. Oh well.

Back on topic, given the small amount of work I've seen him in, I think Hemsworth will be excellent as Thor. My only thought is about how well he'll mesh with RDJ, Jackson and Norton (if he's in it, is that guaranteed?), as well as whoever is cast as Captain America in the Avengers movie. I would hate to see a character who is a god be overshadowed because of the performances and star status of the other characters and their respective actors.

He'll have his work cut out for him, in that department. Those guys have strong personalities. I think he's up to the challenge, but is Zak Penn?

I think a more pertinant question would be 'are they all ready for the challenge of Zak Penn'?

Eat his vitamins? Don't you mean steroids?

No, I hear if you up your daily vitamin C intake to 5000%, you can gain 100lbs of lean muscle in a week! :p

how anyone could perfer this;the character in the first pitcure looks like he eats steroids for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the latter pitcure looks lean, athletic and healthy.
I'd rather thor looked like picture 2 than picture one.

Colossus is supposed to be the X-Men's muscle. People like Cyclops are the ones supposed to look "lean" and "athletic". The team muscle(Thing, Sasquatch, Strong Guy, Ares, etc) are usually huge, often steroid-huge. Every depiction I've ever seen of Warpath is bigger than Cassaday's drawing of Petey and on what planet is Warpath bigger than Colossus? :o

Yeah, the pic I quoted of Colossus is pretty ridiculous, but I've seen him drawn VERY muscular, but in a way that's actually attainable. Most of the people in the world who are that big, aren't actors so I'd never have expected Cudmore to be quite that big.

On topic: I'm not too worried about Chris' physique for Thor. He's already pretty big and Thor doesn't really require you to have much definition. He'll be ok

Thor's pretty defined in the comics. This ain't Superman, who's just naturally big but doesn't get a ton of exercise because nothing can provide it for him. This is a dude who started out naturally big and fought things at or above his level in Asgard for his millennia-long life.

Thor's always had that big ex-football player look to me. Not like Cyclops who looks like a Calvin Klein model.

Haha, is that a requirement for a god? Cuz I can think of many out of shape gods.

Odin's just old. He was in damned good shape when he was younger. Volstagg, too. Can't blame a guy for loving his mead. :D

Hemsworth has until January to bulk up. Not that he really needs to bulk up that much. I mean, he is a god, so steroid huge muscles aren't necessary to swing a hammer around, killing giants. The fact that, once again, HE IS A GOD, makes me suspend disbelief a tad. I am behind Hemsworth and his muscles all the way.

He's a very visceral god, though. Magical strength isn't as effective an explanation for him as it might be for a god whose entire culture isn't built around war.

lets not leave room for errors here...

THOR should be ripped and huge!!! He is the muscle of the avengers and a frickin god!!!

Here me out, i and many others should be disappointed if Chris doesn't get to Hugh Jackmans size or bigger.

In the next 3 yrs we will get a Hercules movie, a Conan Move and maybe a He-Man movie. (we dont want our thor being the smallest of these characters on screen in the future.. right?)

Lets have our thor at least look like he hit the 300 diet plus 10lbs. I dont think im asking for too much eh?
