sorry i just trust marvel and Kenneth Branagh when it came to casting the lead seeing how skarsgard auditioned for the role and all .The reports say Hemsworth had screen presence and they knew he was there Thor.

If you'd read the script you'd realize how laughable Russel Crow would seem playing this incarnation of Thor.

I don't think A Perfect Getaway looks very good, but I might check it out to see what Hemsworth's acting is like. Star Trek wasn't a good enough indicator of how good at acting he is. He looks great, so I'm hoping he's a fantastic unknown actor.

He's a bad choice because your fantasy choice didn't get the role... Personally I'm going to actually watch something more than Star Trek and decide rather he is charismatic or not.

Also Norton is one the least Charismatic actors on the planet and I seriously doubt that his cry-baby ass is playing the Hulk again. No matter what little rumors come out I won't believe it till I read it in Variety or Hollywood Reporter.

I mean seriously it's just my (unpopular) opinion but I find Norton to be completely uncharismatic and one of the most overrated actors in hollywood.

I may fall somewhere in the middle. Not sure I would term him "one of the most overrated" but I am a bit underwhelmed by him at times.

When I read that he "blew them away" with his audition, I was pretty confident. If he made them forget skarsgard it must mean he's pretty good.

Chris Hemsworth sure looks like he’s been bulking up for his role in Thor as he prepares to depart from Canada’s Vancouver International Airport on Friday (August 7).

The 28-year-old Aussie actor, who played the father of Chris Pine’s character in Star Trek, was later swarmed by fans at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Saturday (August 8).

Chris is set to thunder god Thor in Marvel Studios’s live-action film

due out in theaters on May 20, 2011. Natalie Portman will play his love interest.

As someone mentioned earlier, though, I really want to see him with longer hair. I imagine they'll have to use a wig, though, if that's how short his hair is now and filming starts in January. I just hope they'r not fousing to much on getting him ripped, instead of bulking him up (thats kinda what happened with Routh, the ripper he got the skinnier he looked) though that was meanly becuase his muscle tone didn't show thougth the suit enough, here, Chris will probably have alot more shirtless, or atleast sleevless scenes

but, ya the guy already got a good size to him an it does look like he's been hit the gym pretty hard

Bodybuilders tend to get a real close haircut (or if they've got long hair - pull it back) before competitions as longer hair can make a persons muscularity less significant to the naked eye.

I'd hope that he puts a bit more thickness onto his frame before they put the wig on him.

well, I was mainly pointing it out, in terms of other people not seeing how much bulkier he got

which I wasn't saying it against him, and I know it just sounds like some nit pick...

but, in certain pics or at the right angle (like say the first pic of that series) his neck looks very long, he's got a naturally low shoulder base, so, its harder to tell body size, in ratio to his neck and head.... IDK
