It'd be enough for me if he just showed up alongside the rest of the founding Avengers and appreciated them for their warrior spirits. Thor's a warrior first, after all, and the quickest way to earn his respect is to show valor in combat. Pretty easy task for the likes of Captain America, Iron Man, and the rest. Except maybe the Hulk.
